good deed...we all pay in the end for thiefs.

I just can't think like they do and I absolutely HATE a thief! I'm so glad you turned them in and I'm really hoping that the store follows up and that the police will go find these people. Thats the hard part..I'm thinking that probably nothing will happen with that info. that you shared..which is a shame and in itself makes me mad.

My husband and I once watched some people go through the checkout at the grocery store with the center pockets of their hooded pullover sweatshirts stuffed with canned goods. We told the checker about it and she said they couldn't do anything about it unless they actually saw them pocket the items. When we got outside we saw them loading the stolen cans in with the paid for bags. Bold! That's all I can say.

What a message they are sending to their own children. So sad, and thank you for stepping up

Thank you for being so quick to think of this. In the end we all pay for someone shoplifting.

It was a commendable thing you did... you're right... we ALL pay for theft. Every time I see someone using a grocery cart for trash or laundry or whatever, I get mad. Those things are very expensive, and guess who pays when they disappear from the store? You got it... WE do.

Good job. As everyone says, we all pay for someone else's five finger discounts.

Unfortunately, as far as chasing them down, it depends on what the store's policy is on theft. Some go after all and other's feel there is an acceptable amount of loss. I wonder if they had a security camera to track things like that. I know some stores do have the monitoring systems at the door, but they go off so often it seems like those are useless, because I have seen the employees just wave people through after they've gone off.

it's hard to believe that someone would do that.
