Those Of Us Who Like Andy Griffith

Last month we lost our favorite sheriff. TVland channel has been showing many of the episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, and I have enjoyed everyone!

Now, I would like to ask what is your favorite episode?

I have always loved the one where Aunt Bee makes those terrible pickles.

My favorite is when Andy insists that Opie gives up the money he has been savings to a charity. Opie says he can't because he isgoing to get his girlfriend a present. Andy doesn't listen to Opie when he tries to explain. Andy gets upset at Opie. Finally Opie explains he was saving his money for the little girl to buy her a coat because she didn't have one.

Need more tv like that instead of some of the terrible stuff on there now

I loved all of his shows and would watch him on anything he played on. I miss alot of the old shows. I have my grandson (age 6) hooked on Little House on the Prarie, The Waltons and Dr Quinn. He got hooked on the first one when I explained why they couldn't just get in their car and go tell someone. He could not imagine a time where cars didn't exist and there was no electricity. He and I watch these most every night he comes over and he has been known to stay up late to watch them one after another. If I change the channel when one of them is on he gets really upset. It's good that there are shows that can teach the little ones about life way back when and they aren't watching a lot of violence while they are learning.

I liked him in the movie, "A Face in the Crowd" with Patricia Neal. Good acting and a great story that is still relevant today.

I had been watching all the episodes with Netflix streaming before he died. I had my 16 yr old son watch some of them with me. He got a kick out of singing 'You get a pole and I'll get a line, honey."' (I may not have those words quite right.) Love that show, what great life lessons and funny, too!

Love every one of them! My favorite parts are when the lightbulb goes off for Andy Taylor and he gently tells Opie the ways life makes sense. I grew up in a very small town. Watching the shows reminds me so much of growing up in the 60's.

We watched the originals as they came on, never missed a one. My Husband is the TV watcher, I'm the listener. Daughter got him some old episodes on VHS or DVDs. Our 10 year old Grandson is enjoying watching the old Twilight reruns with his Mom. He plays lots of hand held games and reads at 12th grade level. OPPS, forgive me for bragging every chance I get.
