Yes our thoughts and prayers are with you. As an Okie we know what tornadoes can do. If you should need anything please let us know. Our board members are always willing to help.

Ditto here... We are in the path of possible tornado or severe TS with hail and winds. It is always a heartfelt tragedy to see and hear of the destruction from storms. My prayers are with all the families that have been hit and pray all will find comfort in each others arms. Sending donations to the RedCross. I hope all will do the same.

My thoughts and pray goes out to all in the path of these tornadoes.

My neighborhood looks like a war zone and we had the 117mph straight line winds. Lucky for me we never lost power but our phone lines were out. There are only 10 homes in my neighborhood with electricity, and all you can hear outside are generators and chain saws running. I am going to have to put a roof on my house and cut a tree down but other than that I should be okay. Might as well go ahead and relandscape the thing, my yard is ruined from all of the tree limbs falling and the rain.
But there was at one time 6 tornadoes on the ground at the same time all around us. I saw one go over our home before it touched down a mile or two from here. I am so glad the storms are over with!!! Billy |
My prayers are with all of you affected by the stoems. We were under a tornado warning for most of the morning yesterday but the really bad stuff skirted aroound us and we just had a lot of rain and wind. A few branches down in the yard but no other damage thank the Lord.
|
Thank the Lord that they missed you. I am so sorry for all the bad weather. Material things can be replaced but lives can not and there have been so many from these terrible atorms.
|
We too are praying for those effected by the severe weather...

Thankfully we were spared from any bad storms/tornados this time around right in our a particular area although there was some damage in the eastern part of our state here in NC. |
Prayers for all those in the path and/or affected.
|
My thoughts are with everyone living through these terrible storms...keep safe.

Billy Even though you have to relandsape your yard, put on a new roof and cut down some trees, you're all good and that's the most important part. You have a new little "baby" who relies on you now! To all those affected by the tornadoes, my heart goes out to you. It was a very snowy winter in the northern US, then the earthquake in Japan, and now the flooding in the south and east. It's unbelievable! |
We had some incredible storms pass over us here in MD, but nothing like the carnage further west. A friend of mine in Alabama had to run with her family and her dog into a neighbor's basement while a tornado leveled her home to its foundation. She lost everything - house, cars, her at-home business in her sewing room, and all of her pet guinea pigs and rats. Absolutely devastating. It's amazing they escaped with their lives, though her daughter is on oxygen right now.
A wonderful group of her friends online who work with Guinea Pig Rescues have started a fund on her family's behalf. http://sponsoraguineapig.blogspot.com/ These are all of the babies that she lost, all of them rescues, along with her work space. Seeing the pictures, it's just heartbreaking for me to imagine what she's going through. http://cozycavy.com/3.html |
We had a tornado last night and it destroyed our small town of Sunnyside. All roads were blocked and power outages. Choppers have been circling all day to survey the damages Two people were killed just a short distance from me. A mobile home park was half destroyed. Looks like a bomb was droped. My heart sank to see such a site.WE are ok and Blessed by god to have so much destroyed within a few hundred feet of our house. and only have one tree down in the yard.Bless all who have the same experence.

So sorry for those who have and are suffering. So happy for those who are not and made it through the storms okay.

Billy We had a tornado hopscotch over our house and farm; thankfully, just some shed damage and we lost two of our favorite old trees. But now every thunderstorm gives me jitters. I pour on the prayers! |
We are worried about friends and family that live in the South. Our prayers are with everyone...
|
My Husband and I were talking about all the destruction , and we both feel ashambed because we complain about getting 6 inches of snow. Our thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone!

Amen!

Billy Shortstuff - thank goodness that you were spared, too. It's so hard to comprehend when you see huge trees blown over. We had a tornado touch down in our town several years ago (very unusual in CT) and the ONLY thing it did was to take down many 100 and 150 year old maples. None of them hit power lines or houses, but it was a shocking display of nature's power. |
One cannot imagine how horrific nature can be. This episode will undoubtedly go down into the history books. I offer my prayers of hope and comfort to those who have lost so much. ♥ ♥ ♥

I live 15 minutes from Tuscaloosa, Alabama-we got the straight line winds Wednesday morning around 5am and have not had power since. The tornado that destroyed Tuscaloosa was headed straight for us and then turned to the NE and got Pleasant Grove and Concord. We are thankful it bypassed us but sad for the ones who lost all. One of my coworkers lost his mother in Pleasant Grove-there is death and devastation everywhere-we really can use all those prayers you are sending up-keep them coming!!!
|
My family is in Huntsville, Toney and Monrovia. I still have not been able to get through to them. I know they don't have power.
|
Thoughts and prayers are with you all. I was shocked when I see the one from Al. and other states. It looked like a bomb went off and I wondered where do the people hide. We have no cellar here either. What in the world can people do and I heard that May is a worse month. I just pray for you all daily. Try to stay safe and well. Sue

Tornadoes are surreal. Billy, it is amazing that you kept your power but lost your roof. Glad all are safe!
|
Hi from South central MO...we had one tornado touch down close but it jumped over us. I woke up to part of old barn roof missing and part of round pen (horse pen) blown down. The steady 4 days of heavy rain and non stop T-storms just about unnerved me (and that doesn't happen often).
My heart goes out to all of those who are suffering from losses due to these terrible storms. Hugs and Prayers! Waiting to hear from all of our Q-board members in the storm ravaged areas. Billy , Crafty Chick and Shortstuff, glad you are all safe! Things can be replaced though not always easily but not one single life can be. That kind of loss leaves a hole in the heart that can never be filled! |
My thoughts and prayers to everyone who is living thru these terrible storms.
|
May our dear Lord help your hearts to heal from your losses and may he help you to recover from this horror. I've never seen anything like this in my life. I've been thru hurricane's but tornado's scare me to death and I pray that you will feel goodness and happiness again soon. Sue

Prayers foe everybody that has to deal with this and thier familys.

My prayers are with all of you. My aunt who lives in southwestern Virginia had her home damaged night before last by a tornado. She and her husband are find so we are so thankful for that blessing. Her home can be repaired and the lost trees can be replaced, but their lives could not! Thank the good Lord for his mercy to them.

Our hearts go out to all who are in the affected storm areas and hope you and your loved ones are all safe. We've been watching the devastation left by the tornadoes on our newscasts and it's truly frightening.
|
Prayers go out to everyone affected by all the bad storms.
|
Prayers and thoughts to all affected by the recent storms. We can put up with the cold and rainy weather here and not be in the path of such destruction as in the south this past week.
|
My prayers go out to everyone affected by these terrible tornadoes. We lost several people in Greene County, Tennessee, too.
I found photos in my yard and my late Mom's yard that were carried by the winds. I posted them on facebook. Several people in our area found items from Alabama. It's amazing the force of the wind to carry something that far. There are over 1000 photos, quilt, toys, checks, everything found in different states posted on Facebook at: Pictures and Documents found after the April 27, 2011 Tornadoes So sorry for the families who lost loved ones, homes and everything. Prayers are with them. |
.My hubby has a lil less than 100 employees in huntsvile. He called each an everyone of them to make sure they were ok. The ones he couldn't reach by phone he had employees go searching for them. Each of them and their immediate families are safe but the damage in huntsville is so overwhelming that we were going to max out the cc to load up the trailer with generators, food and supplies if any one of them needed him too. They didn't but I knew he would if anyone said yes. That's why I love that man!!
My heart & Prayers go out to those who were impacted my this devastation. |
