No favorites, but I can do without Flo and the Emu.

Mean Joe Greene and the little boy offering him his Coke, in 1979.

I said "say it ain't so Joe" at a recent gathering and several people got it.
We got rid of tv at least 15 years ago, and our connectivity is poor so no streaming anything here. We are better for it. The news and ads were brain poison.

thanks for answering. I was curious so did a bit of reading and talked to a couple of people. It’s a bit more nuanced than “politically correct” tho. I don’t want to hijack this thread so I’ll go away. I wanted to thank you for your reply.

You are correct, it IS more nuanced than that, but I was trying to be politically correct. Lol.

Iooked at the question and thought to myself -

" No way that I am going to get involved in trying to answer that one!"

A friend ( of over 30 years) informed me that she was tired of trying to wake me up!

The Budweiser Clydesdales ads.

Classics

I agree wholeheartedly. They are true classics and will always be remembered with a smile by those who saw them. Too bad there aren't any like them today.

I view it as negative way to say that you disagree with/label another person's political opinion without ever explaining why. I will leave it at that.

Almost forgot that there are a number of 'woke' people in every group, and this place is no different. Thanks for the reminder, cathy.

We watch MLB so we can see all the Yankees games. There is a commercial for an AB & B or something like that, maybe a timeshare but I get so annoyed by the constant commercials. A guy sings and sounds like Kermit the Frog. I love the puppet but this guy sends me over the edge lol.
Another one is for those bottles of pills that give you a zillion fruits and veggies for an ungodly amount of money. I've read reviews and people say they spend all their money on advertising and not much on the product.
I love Netflix and Prime- no commercials!!!

You just reminded me of the Gillette ads during the World Series when I was a kid. I wasn’t interested in baseball but loved the singing parrot.”how are you fixed for blades?” Now I’m the opposite; love baseball but not interested in the ads. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Susie.
