University embroidery designs for personal use only
I found some Oklahoma State machine embroidery designs at http//www.emoembroidery.com but I am not familiar with the site. Does anyone know anything about them? Also, although I specified licensed designs in my search, the site says nothing about this. They do,however, have designs from many universities as well as professional teams. What do you all think? Safe site and safe to buy? Thanks for any help.

Ummm...I'm thinking not. I see the site is located somewhere in Europe. I would, personally, not take a chance. So many 'branded' designs to have bought rights to duplicate. Uh uh, not me.

The site is full of misspellings, does not look legitimate to me. I wouldn't download anything from it.

Well, there goes that idea! I am sure you all are right and just confirmed my misgivings but I really would like to find some OSU designs. My grandson got his undergrad degree there. Thanks for your input.

I was thinking Etsy as well.

Thank you so much, Rhonda and Susie! I didn’t even think about Etsy since I rarely go to that site. There are several designs I was hoping to find. Thanks again. This group is terrific!

I did go look at the site, and did not get a “fake site” warning on my IPad, but after looking closely it does seem to be of Russian origin, so I would pass on it since they do not mention the designs being “licensed”.

I was at a craft fair this weekend and saw many licensed characters and schools embroidered on many items. I wondered if that was legal? I don't have an embroidery machine so it doesn't really matter to me, but I suspect it isn't right to sell them without permission.

This board is great! Thanks to everyone for confirming what I sort of suspected about that site and pointing me toward eBay. Part of my GS’s Christmas present - well, once I get the napkins embroidered. Thanks again.
