I know it's a little late, but here's what I did this year. I roasted my turkey in the oven and took it out about 30 minutes before it was done (this is the time my other dishes needed to cook in the regular oven). I then transferred the turkey to my roaster and finished the cooking in there. It worked GREAT!!!!!.....would love to take credit, but hubby is the one that suggested this!!!

We use our roaster oven a lot, for chickens, roasts, etc. So, this year we did our turkey in it. It turned out AWESOME!! So juicy, moist and tender. The stuffing was fantastic too. It was just over 23 lbs with the stuffing. Looking forward to doing another gobbler in there! Oh yeah, it did brown just like it had been in the regular oven too.

I love my roaster oven. I use it every year. Turkey comes out very moist.

Just one tip - Never plug your roaster into a power strip! We did one year and didn't realize it blew the fuse on the strip. We had rotisserie chicken for thanksgiving that year!

Well? I'm thinking I'm going to go and buy me one!

just be sure and wrap the drumsticks like someone suggested. the thermometor showed the breast tempt. was just done, good moist turkey. didn't notice the drumstick until monday, when i was going to make soup. maybe it had just gotton dry by then, but i will use foil on the drumsticks from now on. thx.
