Had 2 electrolux vacs and now a regular dyson. The dyson is easy and the best cleaning vac I've ever owned. Just remember, it's easy to use.

So, just wondering what advice you all might have. We have 2 dogs (one shedder, one non-shedder). We have heard great things about the Dyson model for pets, but I really hate to spring $500-600 for one vacuum cleaner! We've also seen good reviews on LG and it's not quite as pricey. But, if anyone has had great experience with a good machine, I'd like to hear about it before I head to the store.

Thanks!

I have a Rainbow, expensive, but the best I have ever had, I have had Kirby's, Eureka, Windtunnel, but Rainbow by far the best.

I like Dyson and like you don't want to spring the big bucks. I went to Consumer reports and their top three are not any of the Dyson cleaners. I went with the Eurkea pet smart that is only $139 at Sam's but it works just as well as the Dyson. I have a Welsh Corgi that sheds and the Eureka just works wonders. I have used the Dyson and if I had the extra might do it, but the Eureka is wonderful.

I will need a new one soon. I am thinking about a Dyson. I have been told they are the best. All I know is never get a Bissell. I have had 2 Bissells a vacuum and a rug cleaner. I hated them They are loud and the older they get the louder they get. Mine was so loud my kids would hide when I turned it on. I still have the rug cleaner and it is soooooooooooo loud I wear earplugs when I use it

I love my Dyson, it is about 6 years old and works like a charm. It is the yellow model not the pet model. I lost my Golden Retreiver, Beau, in July, loved him dearly but he was a hair machine!

Love, love, love the Dyson. We have the one with the pet hair attachment. it worked wonderfully since we used to have a hairy German Shepherd. I filled the canister with his hair several times a week. Then he went to heaven. Still have the vacuum and it still works great, but, I recently got the cordless Dyson, hand held, and it is perfect for our needs. Bare floors and carpets, upholstery, baseboards, etc. Can't praise it enough. It is loud though but we don't mind.

Love my Dyson. It is still going strong, when I bought it We had a newfoundland, since then we have a shelty, and a couple of other dogs. It works wonderful.

I have a Dyson. Its not the best put together machine, but it sure does clean. I also have the pet hair attachment, but even with 2 cats and a dog, I have never used it. Recently a niece bought a Dirt Devil, hated it and returned for a Dyson. I never knew, because I had never been in a pawn shop, people have pawned Dyson. You might check there for a bargain. Might not get the warranty, but you will have a great working machine.

Hoover bagless Windtunnel. We used it in our cleaning business for 5 years and it still goes strong.
