Vendors apron

I was wondering if anyone has made vendors aprons. Can you tell me about them? Size, how many pockets? And size of the pockets?

It depends on the purpose and what kind you like. A messy job, I like a full bib apron. I posted a picture of mine made from a man's extra large black shirt. I didn't put pockets on it but it would be easy to do. If you put aprons into the QB search some should come up. Mine made from a man's shirt was a youtube video so you might check youtube too.
For cleaner jobs with pockets for money, I like a waist apron. I have made the waist aprons out of a rectangle of heavy duty fabric (denim works well) folded up, sewn into sections and add a waist band.

Yes, it is one for collecting money. How many pockets do you suggest?

Maybe a zippered one for most of the cash, a zippered one for change, and an open one for some change, and another open pocket for some cash. And a place for paper for notes and a pen and/or pencil. And if you are like me, one MUST have a Kleenex handy - even if not needed. In fact, I would put the zippered pocket with the majority of the money on the INSIDE of the apron - next to my body.

I would even consider a second belt or something to carry most of the cash closer to my body than an apron.

Would this be at your home or "away" from home?

You might even consider a vest type of thing - depending on your body shape. Aprons that tie around my waist tend to sag and go south.

It's not actually for me. We belong to a car club and they are needing some new ones. I am going to try to talk to a few of them this week and see what their "must haves"are.

Depending on your group - some might even want to have a pocket for a flask!

I personally liked three. I also liked "bearisgray" idea of a zippered pocket. Now why didn't I think of that? Hmm if a zipper intimidates you,
use velcro. Just make sure it is a sew on. Hopefully you will be opening it a lot for bigger bills! :>)

I made one along time ago when I actively did craft shows. I made a zipper compartment in the back for cash and about 2 pockets for handy items you need when doing a show.

I just finished making one for a friend of mine but hers is for dog training. It has 3 pockets and I made the apron and strings extra long so it fits just her. I just checked LOL for some reason I didnt take photos of hers . I made another similar for a friend of her's . Normally I just run the pocket the same width as the apron but I cut it a little short and made a "design decision". It is lined ,I used a sheet, And interfaced I used fusible woven interfacing that I had , the kind that goes on stretch fabric. It keeps it softer . They are basicly just rectangles .
