Now this is the kind of snow/winter I remember in LaPine. thanks for sharing. Haven't been over there in the winter for years. Beautiful... Merry Christmas happy
healthy 2013

MimiBug123 12-19-2012 07:48 AM

It's beautiful, but I don't envy you. When we lived in WV, we had snow all winter and it was so pretty to look at, but a pain in the tush to drive in! We sure don't worry about that in south GA!

Now that looks like Christmas. I hope we get snow soon.

roadrunr 12-19-2012 10:54 AM

thanks for the pics of your snow. Here in Chicago land, we still haven't gotten our first measurable snow yet (the snow lurries we had yesterday dont' count as it didn't amount to much). We are supposed to get snow tomorrow afternoon, but not much.

Beautiful! But you can keep the snow. We're supposed to be getting our first measurable snow on Thur. I love looking at it, but sure hate shoveling it.

Same here! I am looking forward to some snow tho. Gets me into the spirit and it makes for a fun day to sew!

I too think this is the "big one".........LOL (Fred Sanford just flashed in my head)

No Dee, it's the back yard......my front yard is all driveway.
All is well though, Santa brought my husband a tractor for Christmas. The man in Red must have known this was coming. He dropped it off two weeks ago.

We live closer to Mt. Bachelor, we may get a little more than forecasted. My husband will be out tomorrow clearing the driveway so the task doesn't get away from him. He also helps clear our cul de sac and the neighbors driveway.

Rina 12-19-2012 11:36 AM

So pretty, but no thank you! Lovely to look at.

sewnsewer2 12-19-2012 11:55 AM

Snow is beautiful, but I'm glad I don't live in it.

Love your pics - so glad to see snow for Xmas.

sewdamncute 12-19-2012 07:49 PM

Pretty...but please keep it out there!:)

topstitch 12-20-2012 01:11 AM

I love looking at pictures of snow, but living in it, not so much.

running1 12-20-2012 05:28 AM

that is just beatiful! I only hope it doesn't cause you too much trouble! A REALLY cold and BLUSTERY front came through here last night... but no moisture... we need rain badly.... Thanks for the pics of snow!!

nygal 12-20-2012 05:51 AM

I love seeing snow coming down and how pretty it makes everything look. Even how you can "hear" it coming down at times. But the older I get the more I dislike all the rest of what comes with it...ice, cold etc. That I don't enjoy anymore at all.

Slow2Sew 12-20-2012 07:21 AM

Magnificant! Thanks for sharing your Christmas wonderland.

oldtnquiltinglady 12-20-2012 08:57 AM

Moving from TX to TN like we did made me love the cold and snow for the first few years we lived here; but not no more--the falling snow is beautiful, but after a couple of hours I've had enough. It is too far from my house to my sewing room to wade out there when the snow is 4" deep......and as for traveling in the snow (my husband and I love to do road trips when we get too much cabin fever) no thanks; I'll just stick to my warm bed and a good book.

Abigail's Mimi 12-20-2012 09:15 AM

How very beautiful! I know snow is hard to live through but it sure is a wonderland where you are!

amandasgramma 12-20-2012 09:51 AM

The snow here is NOT all that hard. When I lived in the valley of Oregon, if we got 2" it was a sloppy wet 2" and was hard to drive in. We also had lots of hills to contend with. Here....because they have the equipment to plow the roads, we all have 4 wheel drives, we don't have hills necessarily (one we DO have is a doozy) and the snow is virtually DRY...........it's very easy to drive in! I went to the LQS yesterday, drove the pickup and NEVER put it in 4WD!!! The roads were packed with ice and snow, too!!! VERY different than the snows over where there is more moisture. :)

riutzelj 12-20-2012 09:58 AM

i live in Lebanon,Or. We always make a drive up the pass part of Christmas vacation activities. If only to go to the snow hill near Hoodoo.

How true this is, but no good for snowballs or making snowmen with grandchildren! You have to add water, then you get icemen!
I agree about not wanting to drive in icy snow, drier is better, but if you get a rain, then snow and cold temps can still get ice, even if snow is usually dry.
Your tree looks so pretty with the snow and ornaments.

Sharonetti 12-20-2012 12:44 PM

I am exceedingly jealous of your snow! I live in SW WA (Vancouver to be exact) and we haven't had any snow for a couple of years! It is soooo beautiful.

CAS49OR 12-20-2012 05:16 PM

Beautiful pictures, I miss icicles! We got some snow in the valley but it didn't stick around.

Seaside gal 12-20-2012 06:42 PM

Very beautiful pictures.

Nonna Judi 12-20-2012 07:58 PM

Beautiful scenery, reminds me of my former home in Vermont. Thank you so much for this trip down memory lane.

Beautiful, what a lovely view for quilting

I had to work today, but this was the view out my office window. Merry Christmas to all!

amandasgramma 12-20-2012 09:09 PM

Beautiful view, fatquarters!!!!

Gladygirl 12-21-2012 08:18 AM

I like snow but when we get a storm like a couple days ago--13 inches along with 40-50 MPH wind --with 30,000 customers with no power because of downed lines and broken tree limbs and hundreds of vehicles in ditches it is not so much fun. The snow is heavy and wet so it froze down and is very treacherous to walk or drive on and very hard to shovel and clogs up the snowblower---can you tell we are having fun!!!!!! Hope we don't get many more like this.
