I have Little House on the Prairie...all seasons.

I better clarify - everyone but me is tired of them.

All in the family is one of my favorites. I happen to run across some old shows one night and watched re-run after re-run and I can't remember when I laughed that hard.

Quilt-Till-U-Wilt 10-13-2011 03:25 AM

Seinfeld re-runs are my favorite. There used to be a show called the Mothers In Law that was really funny. Wish they'd bring that back.

Moonglow 10-13-2011 03:31 AM

I wonder if we'll love and remember the current shows on TV like we remember the old ones. All the shows mentioned bring back some wonderful memories. I don't think the current shows will have the same effect for me.

jitkaau 10-13-2011 04:07 AM

Mash,Cheers,Frasier,Family Ties and Happy Days.

tntgranny 10-13-2011 04:39 AM

My husband really likes the commercials on the channels that show old TV shows - hearing aids, walk in showers, "I've fallen & I cant get up" - all kinds of stuff for us old fogies.

jaciqltznok 10-13-2011 05:03 AM

Father knows best, Donna Reed, My 3 sons, Bewitched, Green Acres, Petticoat junction, Lassie, Gentle Ben, Danial Boon, F Troop...the list goes on...

countrycottage 10-13-2011 05:15 AM

LOVE the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie, also Perry Mason (especially the older episodes). I like The Real McCoys, but haven't seen that show on TV in a long time. I do have some on DVD though.

lfw045 10-13-2011 05:42 AM

Ya'll have brought up some great old shows that are starting to reappear on TVLand! I love all of them and yes they do bring up some great memories of a time that is gone but I do believe will never be forgotten!

judi wess 10-13-2011 06:19 AM

The Red Skelton show, Carol Burnett, Sonny and Cher. They still tickle my funnybone. Also love to see the great gowns Carol and Cher wear.

crafty3236 10-13-2011 06:26 AM

crafty3236 10-13-2011 06:31 AM

QBeth 10-13-2011 06:34 AM

When I was younger, and the show was still on the networks, I didn't care for Gunsmoke. Now that my significant other watches it all the time, I'm really getting into the characters. Go figure. I also get a kick out of recognizing actors who are well known now, but just starting out then. Its almost a game. :-)

I know what you mean! When I was a child I didn't like I Love Lucy and now I think it's great!
Same with the Marx Brothers- I thought they were just stupid. One of my kids really got me hooked on their movies. Very silly, but fun. And always great music :D

Quiltbeagle 10-13-2011 07:59 AM

The Donna Reed Show, Father Knows Best, Mr Ed, The Munsters, The Addams Family, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Mash, Adam-12, Dragnet, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits...I can go on and on... the older shows were so much better than most of today's stuff. The writers back then had imagination, nowadays they just copy ideas.

Beachbound 10-13-2011 08:07 AM

I have to laugh at how morals have changed tho...remember Lucy & Desi had twin beds? When one was shown laying on the bed, one foot had to be on the floor, lol. I recently watched Gone With The Wind again...and noticed how when Ashley & Melanie went to bed, they only showed the shaddow of the door closing over Scarletts face. I think we all figured it out without having to actually see what was going on in the bedroom.

sewn3w 10-13-2011 08:25 AM

Really going to date myself here: The Red Skelton Show!

lfw045 10-13-2011 08:54 AM

Oh my favorite cartoon?? Penelope Pitstop, Speed Racer and old Looney Toons and Woody Woodpecker....lol! Yes Dad and I also watch Looney Toons and Tom and Jerry....rofl...his favorites of course!

lfw045 10-13-2011 08:54 AM

I remeber watching Red Skelton when I was little.....loved it!

nancy59 10-13-2011 09:07 AM

Alfred Hitchcok, Twilight Zone, Little House, Gunsmoke, Rifleman, Bonanza, Loretta Young show, Big Valley.

colleen1978 10-13-2011 10:03 AM

I love MeTV! Just watched Petticoat Junction this morning...sometimes I'd rather watch these lighthearted programs rather than all the crime, drama, and reality tv.

edensgaite 10-13-2011 10:44 AM

I LOVED THE WALTONS, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, AND THE DEAN MARTIN ROAST.
WHILE THEY WERENT COMEDIES, I ALSO WATCHED THE OLD "NIGHT STALKER" SHOW, TIME TUNNEL, LAND OF THE GIANTS, AND ONE SHOW ABOUT ALIENS HERE ON EARTH THAT COULD BECOME INVISIBLE BUT CAN NEVER SEEM TO REMEMBER THE NAME OF THAT PARTICULAR SERIES.

Baby Catcher 10-13-2011 11:43 AM

Little house and Waltons.

Thumbelina 10-13-2011 11:48 AM

Mom's favorites are "Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and of course Lawrence Welk". It bores me to death but I still love her.

Mimmis57 10-13-2011 12:18 PM

Petticoat Junction! I love the cannonball!

I have always wanted to go to a town like Mayberry, didn't know it really existed! Maybe I will come for lemonade.

teacherbailey 10-13-2011 01:57 PM

I love MASH, The Partridge Family, The Brady Bunch, Touched by an Angel.....you name it, if it was on in the late 70's, early 80's and I watched it then.....I still love it!

greaterexp 10-13-2011 02:08 PM

I never think to turn on the TV, except for TCM and a very little bit of football for hubby. I do miss those old shows that had clean humor and usually a little moral, too. Does anyone else miss black and white programs and movies?

luce321 10-13-2011 03:17 PM

My favorites are Mash, Mary Tyler Moore, I Love Lucy, Magnum P.I., Frazier, All in the Family, Petticoat Junction, Carol Burnett Show, Little House on the Praire, The Waltons and so many more. My absolute favorites though are Mash and Little House on the Praire. I never, never tire of these two.

nannygoat 10-13-2011 05:17 PM

Funny you mention that. I absolutely LOVE The Dick Van Dyke Show! My husband does too. When I'm in my sewing room working I usually have the TV on with either Bonanza, Gunsmoke or if I'm lucky TDVD Show.

I'm just nerdy nostalgic that way!

The Monkees! (duh! I have all the shows on dvd) Would love to see reruns of Petticoat Junction with Uncle Jo, Betty Jo, Bobbie Jo, Billie Jo and Kathy Jo. I try to catch The Waltons and Little House at least once a week. MASH is my going to sleep show. I have a high school friend that looks and sounds like Alan Alda.

nannygoat 10-13-2011 05:41 PM

oh gosh, I forgot about Petticoat Junction! Love it too. Reminds me of my grandmother. We used to watch it together.

alapetitechaise 10-13-2011 06:09 PM
