I use the "in cognito" function when comparision shopping on line. You usual online shopping sites know what you have been willing to pay in the past and may offer you a higher price than they would to someone else. "In Cognito" is not totally anonymous but it does hide your identity to some extent.

This is news to me but I’ve not been in a Walmart for years.

I also have found our 2 Walmart stores have different prices for the same item. I have also found that the rarely used items can be found in one store and not the other.
