I have been making an item for the Nursing Homes to give to their residents at Christmas or their Birthday. They are real easy and inexpensive. If you would like, I can let everyone know how to make them. Anyway, I just wanted to share. Thanks

I will be glad to. It is real simple.
Take 2 washcloths. Fold one in half and stitch the seams on the side so that it looks like a little pocket. Then turn inside out so the seam is on the inside. Turn the top edge down about 3/4 of an inch on the outside. Stitch trim (and the top edge folded down) down at the same time you stitch the trim on. Turn to the inside where the seams are stitched up and cut a little slit under the seam. Thread 3/8" elastic, 12" long through the top seam where the trim is and fasten together ends of the elastic. Be sure to put puff paint or dots of fabric glue on the bottom to prevent slipping. That is all there is to it. ****don't forget to do the second slipper LOL**** Enjoy and have fun Footie with top edge folded down Trim stitched down Cutting slit to put in elastic |
Thanks! Another great idea for me to do for service project! I have been looking for an easy item to make for my DH's work. He works in hospice and these would come in handy for his clients.

Great idea about the puff paint or fabric glue. I wasn't told that by the person who taught me to do them but it really makes sense. Did add it to the tute. Thanks again for all the support.
