I have been collecting the ornaments for my kids for close to 20 years. The store where I purchase them has a Waterford artisan come in each December and will sign each piece that is purchased, so many of them have been signed. I recently started collecting the 12 days of Christmas ornaments for myself also.

I chose Colleen (when it only came in the short stem version) when I got married. I do have other pieces other than glasses that were given to me over the years by DMIL. At her 60th anniversary weekend, she and DFIL had boxed up crystal for some of us to take home since we drove down. In my box, were SIX Colleen water goblets. Woohoo!!!!

I have several pieces that I bought when we lived in Europe and I love it. I was also very lucky to obtain Nachtmann crystal while I was there as well. Sure could not afford to by it stateside.

I have 6 pieces of crystal, all given when whatever basenji I was showing at the time, had a big win. I don't like them because they are crystal, I like them because of the reason I have them. I just looked at them and one says Italia, one France, and the rest, Slovakia
I just keep them in my 'won by dogs' section of the cabinet they are shown in

Wow!! I can almost fill up the tank on my truck for what it costs for a wine glass.

Nice stuff but not my style.

I collect Cambridge "Diane" pattern. The etching is beautiful, and the stems are gorgeous. No one else in my family cares about it, but a friend share my enthusiasm for crystal. Maybe I'll set myself a setting to watch "Downton Abbey" when it resumes.
