Can I tell you about my skunk episode ?! Dh and I had a skunk meander into our house about 9:30 one evening this past Fall !! Course we were panic stricken while trying to remain calm. The skunk ambled into our living room and curled up under a table like it was there for the night ! My Dh was finally able to softly prod it back out the front door !! And, thank goodness, it didn't spray !! Still can't figure out why we were so blessed - LOL

That is amazing - I can't believe you got him out of there without spraying!!! You would've had to move.... lol!

Yes I know. The smell would have been in the whole house. We were VERY fortunate !

I paid the neighbor's son to open the trap....his mother never forgave me for that one!

Our dogs are too stupid to stop attaching skunks, so we deal with the onslaught of the stench quite regularly. The one time when they actually KILLED one in the front yard, the smell was so bad, that it took over an hour to change to the "normal" skunk smell. OMG it was HORRIBLE. I did learn a lesson though: Wear gloves when bathing dogs - at 2 in the morning I was a little befuddled and washed their faces without gloves. |
Smelt one once when we were holidaying in Colorado. Definitely not an experience I'd want to repeat!!
