I use to make special vests for a children's therapy center here in St Augustine. They start an autistic child or babies, as soon as possible with wearing the vests during their therapy. An autistic child has a problem sensing their body movements ,as in ,when sitting down, they can't feel that sensation that they're not still moving. The vests I made had very large pockets that I filled with sand to get the weigh sensation.I made the vests out of duck cloth.,.One vest is 11 years old and they're still using it.

These are also helpful for dogs that have anxiety when you leave the house or are afraid of thunder & lightning. Make a vest to go almost all the way around the shoulder and chest, close with a belt with Velcro. I have heard some say in a larger size, they're also great for adults who have anxiety, especially during the night.
