I found in the RED DOT 1/2 off clearance
2 groups of quilter's fabrics that actually go together :)
Price per yard...$2.50
Now I ask ya...
How could I not buy it !!

OK...in the 1st pic the fabric to the far right was not part of that
group and I am not sure if it works...what do you think ?

Love the second group for the teen foster girls;
actually they are both for teen foster girls.
Love the 1st group maybe a bit more...lol

orangeroom 09-05-2011 08:45 AM

The green looks like it's a smidge lighter shade than the others. Does it match with the lighter green in the first one and the inner circle color in the one next to it?

Quilter7x 09-05-2011 08:46 AM

Great color combinations Dreamer and you got a great deal!

crafty pat 09-05-2011 08:47 AM

You were so lucky. They will make up beautiful.

Granny Quilter 09-05-2011 08:48 AM

I think it is a good match. Lucky you. Wish I had a JoAnns close! (200 miles)

ontheriver 09-05-2011 08:50 AM

I like both but like the second group the best, I'm partial to blues and pinks. They will be beautiful quilts.

Lucky You!!! I just came back from spending $113 and saving $69.01. All that was in the red dot section in MY store was JUNK. I got some half-price baskets, and some quilting fabric that was 25% off plus 40% off some baseball fabric and then an additional 10% off total purchase. Oh, I also got a new light bulb for my old Singer that was my mother's. It's a good thing I got there early because when I left the store at 10:30 it was getting crazy.

yes we went early also and left around when you did and we had all the best in our carts before anyone showed...too bad...so sad.
they must have just put this particular quilter's fabric out because it wasn't there last week.

lauriejo 09-05-2011 09:41 AM

I was soooo proud of myself too. I went in for just two things and just grabbed those and left. Obviously I won't do THAT again!

Nicely done - I am actually not going to Joann's as I bought some of the Henry Glass that was offered here on the board.

greensleeves 09-05-2011 10:15 AM

Love the green, the other is really nice too.

was totally unexpected which made
it all that much nicer.

jrharry 09-05-2011 10:20 AM

Both groups are great. I also like the first as those are the colors that I am using now since repainting.

grannyp70 09-05-2011 10:56 AM

WOW what beautiful fabric, gosh I see why you had to buy this. You did good. Wish I could find bargins like that. But when you have to stay in bed most of the time its really hard to get out to find bargins. I am really glad that you found these.

Two of those were in at my Joanne's also. $2 a yard, plus a 10% discount with my quilt guild discount card (ask for it!) Can you believe I did not buy the brown/pink fabric, first on the left, because I have "enough" pinks in my stash?!?

What was I thinking?

I got my 10% coupon off also so it really makes a difference.

Wanabee Quiltin 09-06-2011 06:14 AM

Really pretty fabric. And such a savings.

mhansen6 09-06-2011 06:41 AM

Beautiful fabric. I think the green works. I love the second group of fabrics best. I love blue and brown together.

sharin'Sharon 09-06-2011 06:50 AM

You sure do have an 'eye' for choosing fabric. That's my hardest part of quilting.

Phyllis42 09-06-2011 06:52 AM

I think you did a great job and, yes, it matches.

EmilieLaFave 09-06-2011 09:38 AM

First group - it works better than the orange circles!
Just my opinion!

sammie 09-06-2011 11:26 AM

RobertaMarie 09-06-2011 01:16 PM

You certainly have a good eye for color and coordinating. Please show us the finished products. I think they will be beautiful.

Dianne1 09-06-2011 03:33 PM

The sun never shines when it comes to finding fabric like that for me. It is all beautiful-love all the color combo's wish I could find it- nearest Joanne's is 50 miles one way.

carmen garcia 09-06-2011 06:41 PM

Congrats dreamer great deal!
Lauriejo--good to learn from experience, always check the sale table, it may take a lot of checks but it is worth it cause there might be a good deal you just don't want to miss.

karate lady 09-06-2011 07:19 PM

Love the brown set.
