After living in Plattsburgh for ten years Utica doesn't sound way upstate. When I tell people that Plattsburgh is 2.5 hours north of Albany no one believes me. Most people think that NY ends at Albany and those that know that there is something above, think that NY ends at Lake George.

Upstate N Y is beautiful, vineyards, mountains, farms, lakes. Used to drive through there from MI to Me.

What a cute kid and what lovely memories he will have of NY.
The lighted Christmas Tree is lovely with all those bulbs. I'll bet it is fantastic after dark. One of these days I want to go there. Be sure to put down the date on the back of pictures, I am finding some of my kids and can barely remember the year, much less who the other kids are in the pictures. And even they ask who the other guys are with them!

I love that huge Nutcracker, poor thing needs some TLC. He looks almost like one of mine, Big John is almost my own height and weighs pretty much the same, but holds a tray to put things on. He's one of about 53, and the smallest is about 1 inch.
