Why not tell them as soon as they get their spare bedroom fixed up for you, you will have a yard sale and sell it all and move in with them and they will become your "hobby". End of nagging!!! lol

I think I would just laugh and say "Someday, this will all be yours!!"

I'm still waiting to hear how old these brats are....

I would tell them that it's your fabric and your hobby and to 'Mind Their Own Business!

The next time that they bring it up tell them that you are not going to reply to their comments ever again as it is not a topic that is open for discussion. If they do bring it up again simply ignore them and hopefully they will get the message and find out that you are serious.

I am very happy with my small stash according to some I've seen on here.My husband and only child GIRL saids I don't need anymore, but of course I disagree.LOL`All together I would say I have about 40 or 50 yards total.I think?

If I was going to compare you to someone on pain medication - I would say you were a one aspirin every other day user - - -

You took care of them until they could do it themselves, tell them you have a right to make you happy now. Fight for your right to be happy. If quilting makes you happy, what business is it of theirs? You create your own universe. Make it a great one!

You could sell all your fabric, quit quilting and tell your children "Now that I have gotten rid of all the fabric and no longer are tied down to my hobby I can visit and do more with you all. Who wants me to come stay a week or two with them first?'' Just kiddin!!Why after all we do in a days time doesn't anyone understand this is our relaxing time? :hunf:

wolflady 05-27-2011 08:56 PM

KSue,
If they are paying your bills or for your fabric, I would tell them to mind their own business.

wolflady 05-27-2011 08:59 PM

OOOPS
That should have read that if they don't pay your bills or fabic
