An unfinished basement wall.

Your view is much nicer - - - -

Very nice view..
I see the other side of our apartment building.. We have a house in upstate Ny, but I don't get there often enough.

Silver Needle 09-01-2012 05:16 PM

I see the gravel road that goes past our house and either corn or hay fields. Snow in the winter.

barny 09-01-2012 05:21 PM

I see the hot sun, so I keep my venetian blinds pulled and my lights on. LOL

Elise1 09-01-2012 05:23 PM

You have a beautiful view, I would love to see critters. I see a suburban street.

Dolphyngyrl 09-01-2012 05:29 PM

Other apt buildings, blah

running1 09-01-2012 05:33 PM

I could adjust to that view!!! I am blessed to often sew with a friend either in her dining room or mine... either way, our view is small town... but what a blessing to get to sew!!

Rose_P 09-01-2012 05:34 PM

It's not as beautiful as your view, but yesterday the view out the upstairs window in front of my sewing table included a hummingbird perched high in a yaupon tree, just about at my eye level. We have a feeder below that tree, and when the hummers aren't feeding they're standing guard in the tree determined to chase away any other hummers that come along.

I see a linen roll up blind!! If I happen to open the blind, I see the side of the neighbor's house which is too close for comfort!!!

jj1150 09-01-2012 05:57 PM

BEAUTIFUL VIEW :) I am turning an upstairs BR into my sewing room .... and hopefully I will overlook our yard (depends on just *where* I can fit everything in!!) lol

I have a basement sewing room so the view isn't anything to write home about but......the views on my cutting table and design wall make up for what I lack in the outdoors! Your's is beautiful by the way.

Gigi07 09-01-2012 06:11 PM

Breath taking view!! I see my sisters house and her flowers in bloom...

kuntryquilter 09-02-2012 04:05 AM

I see a pickup truck & an SUV. My sewing room is built inside our RV garage, We no longer have an RV.

nygal 09-02-2012 04:14 AM

I have two windows and see the great outdoors of my street and trees.

Tartan 09-02-2012 04:34 AM

The windows in my sewing area are waaaay across the room from my machine. The view from them is nothing like yours, just the front yard and the road.

quiltsRfun 09-02-2012 04:51 AM

I see a wooden fence so I keep the blinds closed. If I had that view it might encourage me to spend more time in the sewing room.

KwiltyKahy 09-02-2012 05:00 AM

Right now I see the brown grass and brown topped bushes in our back yard.

lillybeck 09-02-2012 05:13 AM

Your view is much nicer than mine. What I see is my sons stuff taking over my room. lol

katesnanna 09-02-2012 06:11 AM

Doesn't really matter, I'm just grateful for sight so I can sew. Thank you Lord.

damaquilts 09-02-2012 06:16 AM

You have exactly what I Wish I had outside my window. All I see are other cookie cutter houses.

IdahoSandy 09-02-2012 06:30 AM

Yesterday I watched a storm with lighting approching from the southwest, coming over the mountains. It was beautiful.

coopah 09-02-2012 08:33 AM

I am so lucky to have a view of an open field, birdfeeders (sometimes with birds feeding), and SUN! For many years all I saw was a street view and neighboring homes with grey sky. The nature view I have now is so much nicer.

oleganny 09-02-2012 09:32 AM

My windows are too high to see out of when I'm sitting down sewing (or crocheting or knitting or any other needlework) so I see, in my minds eye, the person my current project is intended for, and how happy they will be that I was thinking of them & took the time to make something especially for them. When the weather cooperates & I can get outside, I see much the view you have - trees, wildlife, birds, flowers in season - we who live in a rural location truly live in Paradise.

nativetexan 09-02-2012 10:58 AM

Honey i'm down in the basement with no window in my room! I do have a large print of a lady lying in the woods. it's over my cutting table.

galvestonangel 09-02-2012 01:58 PM

Your view is really nice. I have a beautiful view of the canal that goes to the bay. I see boats going by and alot of birds flying around, some catching fish. I want to change my sewing machine around but I would have my back to all the action.

ziegamomma 09-02-2012 02:34 PM

If I had that beautiful view to look at, I would never get any sewing done! You are very fortunate, I look at my neighbor's drive, when I open my mini-blinds. And I confess, my windows are not the cleanest, it's way too hot to go outside and wash them!

mic-pa 09-02-2012 02:51 PM

I see my deck with pots of flowers on them and my neighbors back yard. Not a bad view but I certainly would rather have yours. I have a collection of moose stuff in my house and have been to the state of Maine to see them in their habitat.

Mariposa 09-02-2012 02:59 PM

Your view is great! I see my front yard and the street, so I keep the blinds part way up. Keeps nosey neighbors from seeing everything!

ging10ging 09-02-2012 03:02 PM

I see the side of my neighbors house with some plants. I would really prefer your view. My back yard where we have our dining area we have a bird feeder and a squirrel who eats everything that isn't nailed down and chases the birds. He is afraid of bunnies but we haven't seen any the last couple of wks. We're wondering if our bob cat is back or their getting in the yard next door and the dog is getting them. We had a few it was so cute under the bird feeder all the animals at their table around the bird feeder. still like your view deers, etc. Sue

decky 09-02-2012 03:27 PM

I see spider webs outside the window. My room is in the basement!!!!

lynnie 09-02-2012 03:39 PM

I look up at a quilt with flowers, dragonflies, bees, ladybugs, ants, and a cute spider.
when i press i look at my funky chicken quilt.

moonwork42029 09-02-2012 03:53 PM

For the past few months, my view is generally of my Dad at the ironing board pressing out my seams for me.

Other than that, I get to look into the kitchen since I've been using the dining room table to sew on.

mrs. fitz 09-02-2012 04:03 PM

I see the Hudson River and the New York City skyline, with the Empire State Building directly across from our apartment.

AuntieD 09-02-2012 04:43 PM

I love the view from your window!

momto5 09-02-2012 05:23 PM

I'm afraid I'm spoiled...I have a 2/3 acre fenced in backyard for my pups and nothing but woods behind that...gorgeous, old-growth hardwoods with a little sprinkle of pine trees in it...and of course squirrels, bunnies and an occasional deer...my hummer feeder is in the front and I have a lot of them too...but they're more interested in running each other off than actually eating! I have about a two acre front yard and the rest of my land is in trees. Beautiful all year around.

Do you live in my sewing room & I don't know it? I guess not because in my sewing room you would see wooden mini blinds unless you made the mistake & opened them. Then you'd see my neighbor's house inches from the window. We both live on acre lots but for some reason, the houses are right on the property lines next to each other. Yes, we have unencumbered yards but I get kinda sick of listening to them...

Dee 09-02-2012 07:54 PM

I see maple trees-their tops. My sewing room is on the 3rd floor.

Jan in VA 09-02-2012 08:53 PM

Wow, my view is so similar to yours! The pond is farther away and more rolling pasture to get there; the tree line is full of deciduous trees rather than pine/juniper/cedar/whatever; and my view is more open, less treed close in due to the pastures on three sides of me. Unfortunately as the lawn and pastures slope downward from the back side of the cottage, I only see this view if I'm standing, not while I'm actually sewing. Then i see the the tops of distant trees and blue skies (except on days like today which was completely overcast and gray with east cost residual from the hurricane.)

I wish I had a camera to send you all a picture.

Love your view. I see the neighbors' wall and the old wooden fence. I was thinking of painting sort of a lanscaping with colorful flowers and birds. But I dont think I am able to paint what I enivision so I will make sure my next house sewing window has a better view.
