Are they lizards, or geckos, or iguanas, or...?

We don't have any critters like this where I live, so I have to ask what they are.

Thank you!

erstan947 10-05-2011 04:32 AM

If nothing else they are colorful:) Sorry I'm no help!

blueangel 10-05-2011 04:35 AM

I thin they are geckos. They are very colorful.

ellenmg 10-05-2011 04:38 AM

huntannette 10-05-2011 05:09 AM

all of the above i would say

kathy 10-05-2011 05:12 AM

maybe all of the above, they don't look like my gecos!

BKrenning 10-05-2011 05:26 AM

I think there are several different types of lizards & salamanders in the fabric and all have had been "artistically enhanced".

maine ladybug 10-05-2011 05:37 AM

They look like gecko's and iguanas to me.

lab fairy 10-05-2011 05:40 AM

One of those lizards has the tail of a chameleon but the head isn't quite right. Maybe they just threw lizard parts into a blender and came up with these. I'm guessing the colors come from a really good imagination.

Quiltbeagle 10-05-2011 05:45 AM

I see chameleons and geckos, with some kind of frilled lizards thrown in the mix... and some wild colors!

this is my thought, too.

redkimba 10-05-2011 05:57 AM

some of them look like the salamanders that ccome out after the rain here. they are a dark green with lighter green spots.
Those in your fabric are very colorful, but I am sure that they aren't that colorful out here in the real world.

Yes, I'm sure they were made colorful just for fun. I think in the real world, if they were that bright they would all be poisonous... isn't that how it works for frogs, and monarch butterfly caterpillars?

lovingmama 10-05-2011 06:39 AM

I agree, and a few chameleons to boot.

If your looking at how to "list" them - I would just lump them all as lizards.

Jammin' Jane 10-05-2011 08:34 AM

Whatever they are...they sure are cute and colorful! :)

Yep--all very pimped reptiles.

JanetM 10-05-2011 10:15 AM

I think you have all three on that fabric.

Kimkankwilt 10-05-2011 10:26 AM

chameleons.

GreatStarter 10-05-2011 10:34 AM

OH I don't know but I need to buy a tiny bite of that fabric for a bug jar quilt I am hoping to make once I collect enough bug fabric. I hope to applique a few characters like on your fabric onto the quilt.

They are cute!!

dogpursemaker 10-05-2011 12:07 PM

I see chameleons, geckos and salamanders. The one gecko looks like a Tokay, but the colors are off. If I remember correctly, mine were green with orange spots-and MEAN as heck! I believe the striped tail gecko is maybe a fat-tailed gecko? Sorry, I'm a few years out of my reptiles!

QKO 10-05-2011 02:12 PM

I think they are the not-so-rare "artists representation" lizards. :)

You see a lot of fancifully painted representations like this on souvenirs and pottery for sale in Mexico.

DebsShelties 10-05-2011 02:13 PM

Geckos

Mad Mimm 10-05-2011 02:14 PM

Different lizards. I see a salamander, a gecko, an iguana... you have a variety of reptiles to choose from - a veritable zoo! What jazzy fabric, enjoy it!

KarenSimon 10-05-2011 04:20 PM

Take it from someone who lives there...they are geckos.

Pimped reptiles!! I love it. There are lots of lizards in my yard, but as far as I know, none of them are pimped. This is all I have. None as colorful as on that terrific fabric!

this one is a skink

this one can turn brown to hide

This is as pimped as they get

Their dewlaps sure look pretty in the sunlight.

AprilG 10-06-2011 04:45 AM

Mostly lizards as far a I can tell. However they are hard to recognize all "dressed" up like this.

Love the fabric! What are you making?

Wow! You have a great collection of native "Lizards" the Chameleon is great, and the lizard with the dewlap is beautiful (if lizards can be beautiful, well, maybe to another lizard). great shots.

quiltymom 10-06-2011 05:38 AM

Geckos for sure!!

grannypat7925 10-06-2011 05:38 AM

Just looks like a collection of lizards to me.
