Idy. When I was a baby, my uncle picked me up out of the crib, and said, "Hidy Idy!"

CheeChee or Kid. I once asked if anybody knew what my name really was, Yeah, Kid CheeChee. Even the grands and greats call me CheeChee.

My dad called me Shmo (don't know where that came from) My name is Susanne. My husbands grandson calls me shazam because he couldn't pronounce Susanne.

My dad called me "Judy Bug"... and still does occassionally. My first name is Judy.

My Stepfather was the only one to hang a nick-name on me it was DawnieBird because I'm hyper-active

"Twinnie" because I have an identical twin sister.

I was called Allybutton by my siblings. I don't know why.

Nicknames are a big part of American life, arent they? I don't think we have that so much in other places- I certainly don't. Everyone calls me by my name- my sister sometimes replaces the last letter with a Y but that is the closest I ever got to a nickname. Where I come from nicknames are generally associated with bullying and "name calling". Some of yours are cute though!
