I parked my car at the mall for twenty mins and someone tried to steal it! They ripped out my ignition! Now its in the shop and I have a rental! It was a circus dealing with mall security, police and insurance for 3 hours in the sun! Yesterday was not my day!
Oh gosh! So sorry you had to go through this! {{{HUGS}}}
Oh man, so sorry that happened. At least you didn't lose
your car (I lost one once, years ago). Tomorrow will be a better day! |
I an so sorry to hear this. Atleast they didn't get away with your car.
Sadly , its a sign of the times
Hugs!!!!!!!!!!! That would be a bad day!!!!!!

I was at Hancocks a few ago. There is nothing around this store...nothing. I was in there about 20 minutes or so and when i came out, my car had been broken into. They used a screwdriver to break my keyhole thingy and took my GPS. The police said they are seeing this a lot more. But even the cop was surprised it happened at a fabric store of all places!
Sorry this happened. Hope all works out for you. |
I am so sorry. Some people can be real jerks. Surely the mall had a nice cool office they could have used.
That's wierd. What did they want with your ignition?
oops, took me a second. i get it. They were trying to steal the car ;-/ Sorry. |
Thanks everyone! The security people said they hadn't had problems there in a long time. Its not a huge mall. Oh well.
sorry to hear about your troubles, hugs hugs

I want to rig up some kind of electric shock to my car when I have to go into St. Louis County but hubby won't let me. Not enough to really hurt anyone but enough to make them go away! I would be happy to put a sticker on the car announcing my anti-theft device but hubby is sure an illiterate or blind crack-head with an ambulance chasing lawyer would be the one that gets shocked & we'd be in trouble for not making the sign audible and/or in Braille.
That is horrible. What a bad day.

I'm so sorry for your bad day!

Sorry to here about your car. Our daughter borrowed our car and took it to Philly on a trip. Someone popped the passenger door lock and took a piece of junk computer. I had to put a whole new door on. Stupid people. |
What a bummer!!! I'm sorry that this happened to you. Glad they didn't get the car!!!
Oh wow-that is awful. Good thing nothing too terrible came out of the ordeal and you are safe!
Sorry about this makes a mess for what?? Glad you didn't walk up on them !! :)
What a terrible thing to have happen. It's so expensive getting bits and pieces fixed, not to mention the outrage that someone messed with your property. Sadly a sign of the times. Hope they up security, even just cameras.
I'm thankful to an alarm. Cars and home.
That is scary! So sorry!
There seems to be an increasing lack of morals in our society. People just aren't being brought up right anymore--no guidance, no discipline. It's sad.

Last month in our (very quiet) neighborhood we had 6 cars damaged by two guys trying to steal them. The excuse they gave: one of them's girl friend needed a ride to Ohio! They caused a lot of damage like yours to the ignitions and dashboards. Problem is, all these cars have car alarms and not one of them went off! At least they caught the guys but they don't have money to pay for all the damage they did. Question: what good are car alarms if they didn't go off on any of the cars?????
I am so sorry for all of your troubles. I do not know what is wrong with people ither.
Sorry that happened. Glad they didn't get the vehicle and very glad you didn't walk up on them.
Remember though - Locks are for honest people! |
I have an old car, and if anybody tried to steal it I would figure they were desperate for a car! Even so it would be a hassle!! I hope your insurance covers all your expenses! :|
Sorry about your car. I know it was a hassle but thankfully you were not harmed.
That is horrible! So sorry!
Sorry that happen to you. Glad it was not a car jacking. People want something for nothing. Stealing must be easier than working.
Locally there's one specific kind of car that's stolen from the big malls. When my friends' car was stolen, security said their junker would probably show up either nearby or very far away as junkers are only stolen for joy rides. The car was found on the other side of the mall (!) with a broken window. I don't care how young and stupid you are... the other side of the mall!?! Why bother?
The cops joked that "someone" had forgotten where they parked and tried to save face by breaking the window. :0D Sorry about your car. |
So sorry to hear about your bad episode. (Hugs)
Did you have anything in the car they were after.
So sorry
It is cheaper to steal someone else's vehicle than to get a job and buy their own. Nothing but losers and there seems to be an epidemic.
What a bummer. Sorry it happened to you. One feels so violated when that happens.
My car is a 50's custom and the door handles and locks are shaved off and the doors are smooth where they were. I cant lock the car but no on knows how to get in there with the missing handles.
It takes a key less entry remote to open the doors and trunk but my fuel pump and my ignition is wired to a relay that if you do not use the remote to get in the car it will not start. But knock on wood I have never had anyone try to break into it, and I am so sorry to hear that it happened to you. Billy |
I had someone steal my license plate off my husbands truck and I went to get an inspection and the guy noticed that it was missing. It was found on an abandoned car at a Burger King parking lot in Jasper South Carolina!

Several years ago, one of my cars was stolen. My DD was with friends in VA., when she had to go to the bathroom. While she was in there, the other two drove off. This was about 3 hours away form home. We reported it and then I prayed about it and prayed about it abd then told God to take it because I was getting to stressed out about it. The two showed back up, they sold the car down in DAytona Beach. The cops could not do anything, because we could not prove which one drove away in the car. So they walk around free. Two years later, I get a call from the police. Someone tried to get it regestered. I drove down and brought it home.

Car alarms? IMO they are a joke. Ever hear one go off? Do you see anyone rushing to the car to see if anyone is stealing/breaking into it? Nope! Car alarms sounding off nowadays is just like any other noise, people ignore them.
