Roasted chicken thighs, fingerling parsley potatoes and steamed spinach.

We were going to have veal chops, acorn squash and something green. But that's off cause we just found out there's a satellite launch at Wallop's Island at 7:30. DH decided we will be on the beach to watch so we will eat out in Ocean City beforehand. No complaints here.

Nice, huh? :) Yup, it's a wine pairing dinner at a great restaurant. We've had our reservations in, and have been waiting for weeks for it. Since I was working a quilt show on my birthday Sunday, it'll also serve as my birthday dinner.

Only a few hours now. Can't wait!

A simple bagged salad for me, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, carrot slices, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower. Low fat dressing. Had homemade pizza for lunch. My Husband will have leftover sloppy joes and a baked potato, in the microwave. I might have a couple of oreos for dessert or tiny reeses peanut butter cup.
I'm finally trying to loose weight. Not craving anything much right now, so I thought I would seize the moment.

Sweet and sour sausage with bell peppers, onion, carrots, celery and pineapple. This will go over rice. I am also making some broccoli stir fry. Have you guessed it's clean out the refrigerator time?

I had graham crackers, peach tea, and a handful of peanuts. Just did not want to cook tonight. I always say I eat like a bird -- all day long.

My husband made a delicious chicken mole, refried beans that simmered on the stove all day, tortillas and made a radish salad to go with it all.

Tonight we had baked salmon, brown rice with onions, green peppers and portobello mushrooms, and green beans that I grew in our garden and had frozen.

I like to to cook with planned leftovers in mind, so that I cook enough for 3 or 4 meals. So easy to just warm up leftovers!

Jan - That sounds so delicious. You are making me want a midnight snack. DD came over and made hotdogs. She even cleaned the kitchen. Still can't get around too well after twisting my ankle.

I helped my friend and her son clean deer yesterday and tonight I am going to have Jager Venison Soup - Hunters venison soup. It is absolutely delicious and worth every bit of cleaning the silver of the meat. You deer cleaners know what I mean. It is such good meat - no cholesterol and very tasty, a cut above prime beef! I have been cleaning and processing (cutting it into the meat packages (stew/soup - steaks (boneless) - loin). Heck, I'm drooling already. That's what I am having for dinner tonight. Party Hearty. Edie
