I am reading "Mr. Murder", one of Dean Koontz older books I somehow missed. It has been hard to put down!.
Before that I read, "The Kept Woman" by Susan Donovan. Not the kind of book I usually read but I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
I also recently read "The House of Thunder", another older Dean Koontz book. It had a really surprising twist at the end.

I have that book and haven't started reading it yet. I guess I will set it out for my next serious reading!

I just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and just started the sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire. They are really wellplotted mysteries but quite different from anything I've ever read.

I remember reading "Mr. Murder" after a good friend had recommended it! It was great, a little scary even, but very hard to put down, I agree!...

Any Stephen King fan should look up a new writer named Jonathan Face. He has a book on the "free" Kindle list, called "Catharsis". When you are reading you will swear that this is King using another pseudonym, but after checking it out ~ there really IS a young man who has captured the essence of King's writings, and will be making a name for himself! I read it and it's great! (if you like King).

You're kidding .... as I always have at least 6 books in various stages of being
read. But here goes:
In the Garden of the Beast (Eric Larson) Americans in pre-WWII Germany
Running to the Mountain (Jon Katz) One man's spiritual retreat
This Land is Their Land (Barbara Ehrenreich) Reports from a Divided Nation
The Slaves' War (Andrew Ward) Civil war in words of former slaves
The Fifties (A Woman's Oral History) (Brett Harvey) Our life before the feminist movement
On the Edge of Darkness (Kathy Cronkite) Conversations about conquering depression
My daily reading depends on my "mood"

just finished Wait Till Next Year, a memoir by Doris Kearns Goodwin about growing up in the 50s loving the Brooklyn Dodgers. It was charming.
