When someone with a GREAT voice sings "O Holy Night" I think even the angels must stop to listen. I have bought a few CDs with that on them just because that one song makes me feel like I am in a cathedral.
My new favorite is "Mary, Did You Know" but also O Holy Night but I love them all. I've been listening to nothing but Christmas music on the radio since before Thanksgiving!!
Little Drummer Boy is my favorite, but I currently LOVE this one, which isn't technically a Christmas song...but is. 10,000 Reasons http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXDGE_lRI0E

O Holy Night is my favorite. It still makes me cry everytime I hear it sung.
O Holy Night, followed by Angels We Have Heard on High and Carol of the Bells. For fun I like Grandma Got Run Over.., the Grinch and I Want A Hippotamus For Christmas.
I have many favorites but two stand out. "Carol of the Bells" and "Mary Did You Know?"
Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night and pretty much all of them...
Still, Still, Still.
Beautiful! |
What Child is This?, Silent Night, Little Drummer Boy and there is one in Latin that I have no idea of the name but love it- very churchy.
White Christmas and Grandma got ran over by a reindeer, I saw santa kissing Santa claus, and the old one Santa Baby.
"Oh Holy Night" is my favorite. Christmas doesn't really start for me until I've heard it for the first time every year. My first year of college, one of the students sang it at our dorm Christmas party, the lyrics and her angelic voice gave me goosebumps! She died in a car accident shortly after we went back to classes after the new year. My intent isn't to sound morose, I really love Christmas, but I like to think she's part of the 'Heavenly Choir' now.

Well, this is going to sound bad but when my kids were young, we loved 'Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer!' We played it LOUD while we put up the tree!! I still love it - sentimental memories ;-) I also love the Grinch theme....I know....I'm twisted! As for a "traditional" Christmas song, 'Do You Hear What I Hear?' wins out!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who likes Gramma and the Grinch:thumbup: |
My favourite Christmas song is Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby and David Bowie..
Mary Did You Know is my favorite. I listen to it on You Tube by several different artists.
"Mary's Boy Child", "Merry Christmas, Darling", and "Mele Kalikemaka", the latter being "....Hawaii's way of saying "Merry Christmas to you!" Mele Kalikemaka was sung by Bing Crosby; it is a joyous, happy song!
I'll Be Home for Christmas. Always makes me think of all of my family coming home.
