What's It Called, help please, and if you have a link, even better!

I'm looking for a "rotary type" cutter that punches holes in fleece near the edges so I can crochet around the edge to finish off these type of blankets...........am I'm crazy or am I dreaming of such a thing?:o

I could have sworn I heard of one, but also don't know how well they work.

Help, Please and TIA

Jennifer

Well that is something I would have to buy if I were crocheting around a blanket. I wonder if it would work on cotton fabric. Years ago...many...I did an edging on 2 pillow slips. The first round took forever. This would alleviate the extra work of trying to get the thread through the small crochet needle hole that I punched in the fabric.

Try goggling Skip Stitch. I ordered this a while ago. You can get blades for cotton and a larger one for fleece. They may have other products now??? I have used the blades on flannel, great baby gift.

OMG, tesspug, you don't even know me and you hit the nail on the head! RONLOLPIMP!!!

You ladies ROCK! I will look it up and get one or two as I'm going to make blankies for Project Linus and won't worry so much about how they are washed, etc.

Thank You ALL ladies!!!!!!!

I just went on Amazon and LOOKED..............Havel carries these and they are just $7 & change. I have a pair of Havel scissors and they are perfect so I thought I would give theirs a try.

I've seen these at JoAnn's. It was a separate display with Simplicity brand items. I love the cutter that I have. I do a line of straight stitching about 1/4" from the edge as a guide for punching the holes.

For Barb in Louisiana - you can do a blanket stitch around cotton items (or anything really), then crochet through that. It won't ravel and doesn't really take long.

I just bought one blade from JAF:

Our church group is making blankets from fleece with yarn knitted around the edges for comfort.
