We are considering a trip to New England area in the Fall to see the leaves. Anyone here who can offer suggestions: where is best to go -- best time to see the leaves -- things not to miss in the area. I have never been up there and so I am excited about the possibility.

We have a big church camping get together, in July, up north in Thompsonville MI. Anywhere from 40 some to our record 86 people coming. We have a grandbaby due that same week and I'm not missing the birth. So if the grandbaby is here early we'll still go campng. I've only missed one of the campouts in the last 24 years.

I don't think there will be a vacation this year. I just spent a very expensive 'vacation' in the hospital and we will be using any extra money around here to pay off what the insurance won't cover. But luckily I am home and healthy for now so I shouldn't complain. My husband and son will likely take some time and do a few of the big amusement parks, thank heavans my son is old enough to do all the rides now so I don't have to go along with my husband.

I'm not going away this year as I am saving up my holiday and funds to visit my daughter in Australia next February

A week on the Clarion river in PA. No phones, no electricity, no running water(except in the river). We've also talked about going up to Niagra falls. but I think I might need a passport to get into canada, Does anyone know?

Vacation? We (my husband and I) haven't been on a vacation together in almost 17 years. We took a cruise for our twenty-fifth anniversary. I go on quilting retreats for a few days a couple of times a year (February and October). But we have animals and an inside dog and he just don't want to ask anyone to feed and care for them. Oh well, gives me LOTS of time to sew/quilt, since we are retired.

Spending 2 weeks in Cancun in June, 2-3 weeks in Minnesota in July/August and taking a 16 day cruise in Oct from Barcelona, Spain to Galveston Texas.

Yes, you do need a passport to go to Canada or Mexico.
But you could just go to the American side of the falls if you don't want to get a passport.

Right here at home, my daughter is getting married in 3 weeks and all of the extra money is going for that, but then they are moving to Baltimore, so a fall vacation is in the planning stages for a visit.
