You all make me miss having pets. We have always had cats until 5 yrs ago. Seems nobody will allow pets In rentals anymore.

charmpacksplus 08-28-2010 01:45 PM

I don't have any cats but I dream about them all the time, in a good way. Ha! If I wasn't in the fabric business I would probably have one, but too many people do not like cat hair in their stash.

I love all of your kitties! Thanks for posting. I just have an outide cat now that adopted me. She is kind of dirty white with tan, but she is lovey. And her name is Kitty, how original. I didn't know if she was staying, so I never gave her a formal name. Now she has been here about 3 years.

sueisallaboutquilts 08-28-2010 02:21 PM

I can just see this thread turn into dozens of pages!!
I've never seen a cat I didn't love so I hope so ! :D

I think she's decided to stay!

My little furbaby was given the name Bitsy because she was such an itsy bitsy when I got her. I wasn't sure what to name her because I wasn't sure she would live, but the name Bitsy seems to suit her. She is now 4 months old and weighs 2 lbs 8 oz. As you can see she's still an itsy bitsy! Her big "sister" Gracie weighs 4 lbs 6 oz and is almost 5 months old.

Someone should start our own version of LOLCATS on here and have people suggest funny captions!

Joanie Owen 08-28-2010 02:44 PM

Thanks for all the kitty pictures. I have 2 cats and they do enjoy my quilts.

bearisgray 08-28-2010 02:55 PM

Your white and gray look so much like the white one I had and the gray one I have.

My gray one even likes to sleep with his belly up like yours does.

I love cats, but only outside! They play havoc with my immune system!! Allergies!! My daughter and son both have cats and I have a designated room when we come to visit that hasn't had cats in it and bedding is kept under lock and key!!

Ditter43 08-28-2010 03:34 PM

Yes, I noticed cats seem to like fabric almost as much as we do!! They are both pretty cats! :-D

Kitties really do LOVE fabric, don't they????? I thought mine was the only one...

Every time I turned around she was laying in the middle of whatever I was working on. Had to dig out a boo-boo for her to lay on so that I could get stuff done. She's a happy cat now...

Sadiemae 08-28-2010 04:35 PM

DebinNY,
She looks like the siamese I had when I was in High School. She is beautiful.

I don't think I have ever seen a kittie that I didn't think was pretty, except maybe the hairless ones. I just feel sorry for them and want to make them clothes.

This wasn't taken in my sewing room but thought you might like to see them anyway :)

canmitch1971 08-28-2010 08:03 PM

Talk about spoiled rotten kitty cats. Funny, I have 3 cats but they are not too interested in my fabrics. I have a leather couch though that is soft like a marshmallow and they do love that.

Sadiemae 08-28-2010 11:12 PM

retired2pa,
They are beautiful and look at all fo that hair.

Well....speaking of cats.... today I went to my sewing room to quilt and it was quite messy. So I picked up a towel laying on the floor and there underneath the towel all nice and fresh was a big pile of cat #&%*!!! What a present that was!

I think Spooks was the culprit but who knows...could have been Sid. It appears that they are still mad at me for leaving them all alone for a week while we went to Colorado.

Here are a couple of pictures of the culprits.

I had a cat named Brutus, A huge, 20lb, orange tabby. Brut had my attitude which is scary as all get out. I left for a few weeks but when i got home he was just meowing at me, more like cussing me out, then led me to my bedroom jumped on the bed and in front of me he pooped on my comforter making sure to get the pillow also. After he finished, as my mouth hung open, he gave me a nasty meow and walked right past me with tail and nose in the air. Yup he was mad i left him. I left another time and i got the same welcome home lol such a turd literally. But he was the cat that never left my side thru all my operations and when i went for walks he went with me, unleashed. Bless his onery heart i miss him terribly and hes been gone just over 2 yrs.

redkimba 08-29-2010 05:18 AM

Mine is right in front of me on the computer desk. When I bought a new one, I made sure it would have enough room for my stuff AND the cat.

She also lets me know when it's time to get up, go to bed, what room I should be in, and when it's petting/lap time.... For a 15-year old, she is bossy. :P

CarrieAnne 08-29-2010 05:22 AM

I am so jealous of all your beautiful cats, I can't have one where I live. This is not my cat but I take care of him when my folks are out of town. This shakers he is about 13 yrs.old spoiled rotten tuxedo cat.
Little man put the santa on the pillow months ago and it stays there. Sometimes we catch shakers hugging it.
