Dancing With The Stars
I think I might tune this in tonight and see what will take place.
Should be interesting.

Kathy-Pgh 03-21-2011 12:01 PM

Gosh, I don't know who most of the people are.
I remember Kirstie Alley.
I look at the fronts of the magazines at the store check out lines and I don't recognize most of the people on the covers.
Haven't been much into tv or movies in 10 years so
all new stars.

irishrose 03-21-2011 12:15 PM

Me, love the show no matter who's on it.

beachlady 03-21-2011 12:37 PM

I will.

Tallulah 03-21-2011 12:46 PM

Here are the pairings:
• Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
• Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff
• Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya
• WWE star Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke
• E! reality star Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel
• Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani
• Rapper Lil Romeo and Chelsie Hightower
• Disney actress Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas
• Footballer Hines Ward and Kym Johnson
• Radio DJ 'Psycho Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer

Dragonfly Nana 03-21-2011 12:49 PM

Me, me! Not sure who to root for yet but I love Tony Dovolani and Kym Johnson

quiltsillysandi 03-21-2011 12:49 PM

I'm a dancer...I'll be in front of the TV for sure....From the few couples they've shown practicing, looks like we're in for some great dancing....

kimscruzer 03-21-2011 12:50 PM

ME

lyndad 03-21-2011 12:54 PM

I'll be watching, not rooting for anyone in particular, I just like to watch them dance.

jaciqltznok 03-21-2011 12:59 PM

Guild night...but if it is as boring as usual, I should make it home in time for the start....strange mix of persons, but better than the last series!

janRN 03-21-2011 02:13 PM

I've never watched it but will tonight--have to cheer for Hines Ward, too!!

isnthatodd 03-21-2011 02:14 PM

I love the show, but we PVR it and then watch it starting about 30 minutes later and we don't have to watch all the commercials. We usually finish up live.

clem55 03-21-2011 02:16 PM

would not think of missing it! I love the dancing!

sally's girl 03-21-2011 02:22 PM

I will cheer for Kristie and Kendra have watched their reality shows

who is Hines Ward ?

sunflower126 03-21-2011 02:59 PM

I will be watching even though my favorite-Derek-is missing.

BATIKQLTR 03-21-2011 03:01 PM

I always watch! I think Ralph and Sugar Ray have a good chance. I only know Kirstie Alley (and the two guys). Max and Kirstie could be a very explosive team. Both always seem to have to have the last word.................Then on to Castle! Love that show also.

I love Castle also...
hulu.com took free watching off and is now charging so can't watch anymore.

Kimkankwilt 03-21-2011 03:27 PM

I am!!!!

nativetexan 03-21-2011 03:40 PM

oh goodness. not me hopefully!

Airwick156 03-21-2011 03:57 PM

Not Me!!!! My husbands a TV Hog and he doesn't like that program so I don't watch it. Don't watch Amerian Idol either. I think in all the years those two shows have been on I may have watched each of them ONE time.

3NorwichTerr 03-21-2011 04:03 PM

Love DWTS and American Idol...just love singing and dancing. And Castle, too, come to think of it. Sewing machine is facing the TV. :-) The commericals give me plenty of time to sew a little.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Karate Kid AND Kirstie -- both over 45 years old!

BATIKQLTR 03-21-2011 09:37 PM

I agree Jan..........And Wow, I guess we all know who Hines Ward is now! What a personality!

I'm guessing Wendy, the Playboy model or Mike will be the first voted off. Mike didn't seem to be all that interested in learning, not bad looking though. ;-) It was a better showing than I thought it was going to be.

sunflower126 03-22-2011 03:48 AM

I'm thinking it will be Wendy or Mike. The model did well according to the judges. And Hines....hope he goes far. Seem to have some good dancers this season.

Krystyna 03-22-2011 05:32 AM

Not us! It's Biggest Loser night. Need that inspiration!

Kristie is a favorite of mine. I never watched the show until she was on. I'll watch if and until she gets booted off.

Sharonsews 03-22-2011 07:32 AM

I think Kristie was the best last night.

Sharonsews 03-22-2011 07:39 AM

debbie33 03-22-2011 07:44 AM

Hines was wonderful last night!!! Love him!

For those of you who don't know who he is... he is by far the cutest football player ever! He is a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers (he catches the ball and makes touchdowns). He has the best smile ever. Any time he gets tackled they'll show him after the play grinning from ear to ear.
love him!
And he's one of those nice players who do good things for the community and charity.

dreamer2009 03-22-2011 08:14 AM

Kristie was pretty good last night.
Girl has rhythm.

gmavis 03-22-2011 09:30 AM

We are dancers too (CW). Didn't think it would be as good this year as in the past, but it looks like they have a variety of people, some have danced, others have not, makes for an interesting season. Kristy was awesome last night.

Cathe 03-22-2011 09:34 AM

I loved the way Sugar Ray Leonard was so HAPPY!

And did you ever notice that when he is in the end zone after catching the ball and scoring a TD he will always go over to the stands and give the ball to a child? I just think that's so great. And that smile - it just lights up his whole face! After he gets tackled, I'm thinking "he just got slammed - what's he laughing about?" Makes me think he knows something about the next play that we don't know! He is just so cute and such a genuinely nice man.

He was absolutely great on the dance floor last night. He really let loose and got his rhythm on! I voted all 11 of my votes for him, and hope the rest of the Steeler nation does, too!

I know... I went on Facebook and told Steeler Nation what # to call. I only go 6 or 7 calls in. too busy and when I tried again @ 10:45 they said voting was closed for my time zone :-(

Maybe next week we can tell 'Quilting Nation' what # to call! :-)

Gabbystabber 03-22-2011 01:37 PM

Kathy, And didn't Hines Ward do just great! And Franco in the audience waving the terrible towel. A real Burgh happening for me and hubby if I do say so myself. You can move the gal out of Pgh, but she will always be a steeler fan!

Margie 03-22-2011 03:14 PM

I watched. It is the only tv "show" I watch. I like Steeler football, ice skating, news and movies. But I love DWTS...love dancing period. Voted for Hines Ward of our fabulous Pittsburgh Steelers. I thought the Karate Kid, Ralph M., was a real surpise and did great. I love Anna Trebunskya and Louis Van Amstad. I am definitely NOT a Kirstie fan...but have to admit she did very well.

Instead of calling, fans can go to http://www.abc.com and simply vote there - 11 votes goes pretty fast.

By the way, even though they didn't show him, Mel Blount in his ever-present cowboy hat was there, too. They interviewed him afterwards. I'd love to know how many other Steelers were there. Just gotta love those guys!

FYI, TV Channel 4 (WTAE) in Pittsburgh will be in Hollywood filming bits and pieces of Hines' practice sessions all next week (during the 5:00 p.m. newscast). Guess I just have to watch all the crappy news just to get to see the good stuff!
