Sadiemae 11-23-2010 05:19 PM

It finally stopped snowing, now it is just very, very cold. Wind chill should be around 0 right now.

Don't even mention those words around here. Last year we had snow before Christmas. This year with the invalid dog I hope we don't have a lot of snow. I also have a nice new driveway and don't want to mess it up with shoveling.

leaha 11-23-2010 05:20 PM

not here in western KY yet, do you have it up your way?

MissM 11-23-2010 05:20 PM

Not here in the south...60 degrees today! :-D

Quiltforme 11-23-2010 05:20 PM

Both!!!!!

patchythepirate 11-23-2010 05:26 PM

We have a thick layer of ice with snow sitting on top. Stuck inside for a few days because I'm too chicken to drive in that mess. It's supposed to warm up to 40 over the next few days and then rain, rain, rain.

pojo 11-23-2010 05:33 PM

None here in the Northwestern Pennsylvania I hope it goes some where else besides here. I hate it.

It is getting colder here it is 39 degrees.

I can see why people moves south from here in the winter.

mic-pa 11-23-2010 05:34 PM

61 degrees here this afternoon and tonight going down to 30* T day is supposed to be sleet and freezing rain. UGH

Up North 11-23-2010 05:36 PM

We got about 1/2 inch today, more coming tomorrow night and Thanksgiving day through the weekend. I am glad my kids are not coming from Ohio. Just the local ones! I am ready!

Suzi P 11-23-2010 05:37 PM

Ok will you hate me if I say that I am jealous?? I have never seen more than an inch or two of snow! And yeah, I think it was 70 or so here today.

twospoiledhuskies 11-23-2010 05:38 PM

We had a few inches the other day. Sunny sunny today, melted most of it. Expecting more snow tomorrow. Unlike most, I LOVE THE SNOW.

quiltlonger 11-23-2010 05:38 PM

We shall see if my car can push the snow out of the way to get out of the driveway. If I get stuck I will trade.

patchsamkim 11-23-2010 06:33 PM

Supposed to get rain/snow/ice tomorrow...yesterday we had a thunderstorm and there were tornadoes to the south...today we did get to enjoy sunshine and a gorgeous moon shining in the sky.

Hoping that we get mainly rain...much easier for people traveling for Thanksgiving.

That's true--as much as I would like to see it, it's more important for everyone to travel safely!

cjomomma 11-23-2010 06:48 PM

Not here yet but I am impatiently waiting. We could have a wintery mix Thursday evening as the temps drop into the 20's.

everybody's mother 11-23-2010 06:59 PM

Here in central Minnesota we are waiting for a blizzard Wed-Thursday.....winter is finally here!

marymm 11-23-2010 07:20 PM

Just north of Houston, we have the air-conditioning on, but we're having lovely showers of yellow and orange leaves finally. The crape myrtles seem to be especiallly bright. Of course, we have unpredictable weather and it could be icy tomorrow.

great aunt jacqui 11-23-2010 08:02 PM

none in new hampshire yet, but I think it is just around the corner. I like the snow itis so beautiful here in the woods and so so quiet. More time to sew when the weather is bad....the generator is all ready to go. have a happy thanksgiving everyone

irishrose 11-23-2010 08:12 PM

Northern Lower Michigan - some snow, but very cold winds. It made walking the dogs hard today.

Middle 60's here, no snow all winter southern Arizona.

Tink's Mom 11-23-2010 08:29 PM

No snow, yet! but we are supposed to get some sleet tomorrow...looks like a messy Thanksgiving..

oldhag 11-23-2010 09:02 PM

We got 4" yesterday. We had a weather advisory out. Forecast is for more tomorrow and Thursday. We spent most of the day moving snow and then standing over the wood stove. If it keeps up this way we'll have more snow in one week than we did all last winter. The house feels warm again now that the snow has finally come.

wanderingcreek 11-23-2010 09:11 PM

We got snow last week and today the temperature was minus 27 degees Celcius. Not sure what that is in Fahrenheit but I know that it is very cold. It is certainly here now and will stay until spring. I love the snow but hate the cold.

sueisallaboutquilts 11-23-2010 09:13 PM

Nothing here.

sgardner 11-23-2010 09:49 PM

In Utah, we've had snow several times. Tonight should have been a blizzard- but it ended up falling apart over us and we only got 2 inches of snow out of it. Lots of wind, really cold (high tomorrow's only supposed to be 17 degrees F), but not the snow they had called for with it.

akgranny 11-23-2010 11:56 PM

argh! no snow now, here in my part of alaska ..... we had 12 inches of snow a coupla weeks ago, nothing but rain since, and the ground is bare again. but, maybe this weekend!

tigger5464 11-24-2010 12:13 AM

None here yet thankfully. :) I'm not looking forward to snow...I'm already an "ice cube"!!!! Don't need an ice pack for sore achy muscles...just lemme put my "ice cube" hands on it...LOL Hoping that everyone who is travelling for the holiday will be safe :)

SuziC 11-24-2010 04:05 AM

Nothing up here.......yet but it's getting colder so maybe soon

Murphy 11-24-2010 07:25 AM

It was tired afer it dumped on us first.

EagarBeez 11-24-2010 08:53 AM

Had some flurries in my neck of the woods, some snow on the mountain tops. We don't get to much snow here. The mountains trap it before it gets to us. Last year, my DH had to shovel the driveway. Whoever said it does not snow, or we don't get cold here in Arizona

I guess. We had to take our daughter and GS to the airport in Boise yesterday and a normal 40 min drive took a little over 2 hrs, great fun. Then she changed planes in SLC and had a several hour delay due to weather. Now, it is just plain cold. brrrrrr

Sew 'N Sew 11-24-2010 10:00 AM

I live on the other side of Washington state from patchythepirate and it was -3 on our thermometer this morning with about 2-3" of snow right here. Alot of roads were closed in the open areas around Spokane yesterday but today the roads are okay for people that have to travel as the snowplows have had time to get ahead of the weather! We'll have a cold, white Thanksgiving this year.
