I loved her, too. I would pick her, but already picked someone else. Doris Day would be more like me, I think.

Silly girl! That was Vivien Leigh! And I love her so much. She was a classic beauty and played Scarlett perfectly.

Reese Witherspoon for me. Definately a spunky Southern girl! We don't have the same nose, though. Or body, for that matter! As a teen, I resembled Brooke Sheilds, I guess. I heard that a lot. But I was blond. No jokes, now! She is more my height, but her personality is more like my SIL.

My fav is Kathy Bates to play me!

Betty White for me. Not a look alike but ageless.

TN Donna 01-26-2011 02:23 PM

Kathy Bates it would be.

svenskaflicka1 01-26-2011 02:25 PM

it would have to be angelica huston...

Ritacarl 01-26-2011 02:27 PM

Kathern Hepburn. My life hasn't been just exactly a "bed of roses" so think she could handle it.
Rita

[quote=gollytwo]Bea Arthur, except she's dead.[/quote

Bea Arthur...even dead she could play me...what an actress!

Ditter43 01-26-2011 02:47 PM

It would depend on which part of my life the movie covered. I was often told I looked like Debbie Reynolds. Good enough for me!! :-D :-D

bjnicholson 01-26-2011 02:54 PM

Lauren Bacall

Suzan Larrimore 01-26-2011 02:58 PM

If we can pick any movie star, then I would like Norma Shearer.

quilter68 01-26-2011 04:24 PM

I, too, love Kathy Bates but I think Sigourney Weaver should play me. But my hair is a brighter red.

MadQuilter 01-26-2011 04:25 PM

Nancy McKean - she's good at playing real people!

jojosnana 01-26-2011 05:51 PM

In my dreams I look like Julia Roberts, but I think I would have to pick Julie Andrews. But she will have to gain some weight!

BRenea 01-26-2011 06:28 PM

For me I'm thinking Kate Winslet...

jitkaau 01-26-2011 06:54 PM

Depends on what stage of my life...I used to look like Natalie Wood when I was young (same ethnic background anyway) but now look like Brenda Fricker.

Tudey 01-26-2011 07:04 PM

that's who I was gonna choose!

BellaBoo 01-26-2011 07:29 PM

Cloris Leachman is one that comes to mind for the older me. For the younger me it would be Angelina Jolie of course!

Amy Madigan - I actually said to a teacher once "At least he is not a book burner, you Nazi cow" (Field of Dreams)...my kids said I looked and sounded just like her when I did it!

cosyquilter 01-26-2011 07:35 PM

Tyne Daly or Kathy Bates. Or Katherine Hepburn

chris_quilts 01-26-2011 08:09 PM

I'd pick Barbara Stanwyck. Classy but tough with a good heart. Either her or June Allyson.

dmackey 01-26-2011 08:19 PM

Phyliis Diller fits the profile pretty well for me! LOL! Just kidding.

All my life, I was told I was "cute and spunky" so I guess Valerie Bertinelli would be best, but she needs to go blonde and gain all that weight back.

mzsooz 01-26-2011 09:09 PM

Roseanne Barr. She is my role model :D

fluffyme02 01-26-2011 09:28 PM

Either/or for me also. Older, gray'er, both fantastic!!!!!! I love both these women!!!!!

Okay, I would love for Sophia Loren to play me, but I am sure my DH would like Peggy Fleming for the part. She is his fantasy!!!

Crabby Patty 01-26-2011 10:20 PM

I would like Sandra Bulluck. Maybe on screen I could have the beauty that I didn't get in real life.LOL She would have to be aged pretty far though.

Ditter, you still look like Debbie Reynolds. At lease to me. Does anyone else see the resemblance?

TeesMeema 01-26-2011 10:38 PM

I think Lanie Kazan, from the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" could do a neat job of playing me in my story. Thanks for bringing this thought to me, it's cool to think about. ;-)

purple_butterfly 01-26-2011 10:52 PM

Nichole Kidman or Sandra Bullock ;-)

juneayerza 01-27-2011 12:17 AM

I never thought of this, but I would have to say Kathy Bates too. I liked her from the first time I saw her in a movie.

madamekelly 01-27-2011 12:23 AM

Roseanne Barr Arnold or whatever her name is now. I am a domestic goddess. We even look alike if I put on too much make up. :D

earthwalker 01-27-2011 12:26 AM

Dylan Moran in drag.....

pumpkinpatchquilter 01-27-2011 01:41 AM

Do you think Pamela Anderson quilts? Well I'm sure my Husband wouldn't mind of she played me, but in reality I'm probably more along the lines of a made for tv movie starring Ricki Lake. ;)

quilter68 01-27-2011 04:59 AM

When I was younger it would be "HOT LIPS HOOLIHAN" from MASH, now, Kathy Bates.

quilter68 01-27-2011 05:00 AM

dmackey,
Please, who is that adorable baby in your Avatar?

adrianlee 01-27-2011 11:25 AM

Betty White. I'm not as old as her but I like the characters she has played and I admire the causes she had taken under her wing. Great lady, love her in Hot In Cleveland. Also love Katy Bates in Harry's Law. Anyone see that show yet?

Rock Lady 01-27-2011 12:12 PM

Oh, I would definitely want Betty White. Of course, Doris Roberts might fit in well too. I love them both.

cr12cats 01-27-2011 03:24 PM

farrah fawcet---(sp)--

fktsewing 01-27-2011 07:50 PM

In my younger years, it would be Sandra Bullock---I was a goody two shoes and very respectful to adults. In my later years, Debbie Reynolds although I wish I had the tenasity of Shirley McClain or Lucille Ball.

DogHouseMom 01-27-2011 08:27 PM

Janine Garaffalo. We're about the same size, age, weight, mannerisms, and sense of humor.

That would be my first grandchild at 3 months old. Is that not the cutest little wicked grin? I think she is goiing to be a prankster like her daddy (my son). She is a very happy little girl who lives way too far away for this granny to see her often, but I'm hoping to close that gap soon!

Thanks so much for asking! I love to talk about that little beauty.

Diane

BluegrassGurl 01-27-2011 08:35 PM

Ashley Judd -- a Kentucky girl with a lot of "grit". ;-)
