After seeing a post where they are cancelling a great show like Medium I have decided that we need to unite and make a reality show about the day in the life of a quilter. We can include many parts of all the reality shows. Housewives of quilting forums, fabric addiicts who need rehab, hoarders, clean house, cooking show (quick recipes for when we have finally realized that supper is fast approaching and we havent even considered whats for dinner. Maybe Rachael rays 30 Minute meals. Clean House..Dr Phil about the impact quilting has on families ...and the list goes on...
We should send in a pilot...Are you "in"

Don't forget to include what a quilter goes through to hide their stash, and how they grab every minute to gain "quality quilting time", esp if you are a working quilter.

I'm in

I think that the hiding of stash comes in the addiction section - most addicts try to hide the drugs liquor etc lol
The finding time thing would probably be a Dr. Phil moment lol If Oprah wasnt shutting down her show it may fall into her "ah ha" moment segment. I wonder if we could include Jeff Foxworthy in there . You might me a Redneck if...lol cheryl

CarrieAnne 01-23-2011 06:59 AM

DogHouseMom 01-23-2011 07:20 AM

NOPE ----- NOPE!!!!!! My gosh, they'd have me running around in my sloppy pjs half the day, no make-up!!! oh, and did I brush my teeth? Did I brush my hair??? EEEEK - nope, no reality show for me! LOL AND, horrors, my DH would find out how much I spend on fabric!!! He already knows how much time I spend on this forum!! :)

Thumbelina 01-23-2011 02:30 PM

I'm in, I'm in.

gmaybee 01-23-2011 02:38 PM

How about being addicted to quiilting/sewing shows and setting an alarm to get up at 5:00 on a Saturday morning to watch them. My husband tells me I must really like the shows to get up that early. (It's only an hour earlier than I get up during the week for work). He isn't a morning person, and I find that is the best part of the day.

Woodster 01-23-2011 03:28 PM

...Or our addiction to this forum?

Buttons922 01-24-2011 02:41 AM

Me too!! Time for a true reality program!

Edie 01-24-2011 04:42 AM

Yah, I'm in, too! Edie

This calls for a DVR lol

emsgranny 01-24-2011 04:51 AM

I cant really pitcxh pilot if no one will sign up as the person to be followed for the day!!! Notice~I am looking for someone other than myself lol

KarenBarnes 01-24-2011 11:27 AM

My family already thinks they know what they're in for if something should happen to me but I don't want them to know the "reality" of it! LOL

Psychomomquilter 01-24-2011 12:08 PM

YEAH! why not!!

DianD 01-24-2011 12:15 PM

This is WAY too much reality for me!!! No way---

First, I don't want them focusing on the Dust Bunnies that live in my house.
Second, The amount of money that I spend on Fabric is like my weight and age...NOBODY'S business but my own, and Third, I'm not going to get dressed for strangers everyday...Shorts and oversized tees are just fine for me, year round!

I'm in if someone can play the "part" of me...some one young and in good physical shape, perfectly manicured and made up at all times...you know...the usual quilter..laughing and just snorted..tell me I didn't just snort!! OMG Panning to the opening scene, she tossess her long silky tresses back, has a look of exasperation on her face, turns slowly towards the camera with rotary cutter in hand and says.."I'm not a quilter, but I play one on TV" fade to black! ROFLOL

patski 01-24-2011 01:39 PM

I'm in! Love the idea and Ditter can be the comedian! Love her tidbits

tlrnhi 01-24-2011 01:43 PM

Sounds good to me! But, I want to be behind the scenes.
And I'm mad like you that Medium is no longer on.

pookie ookie 01-24-2011 01:47 PM

Quilters as a microcosm of every disorder necessary for reality TV is hilarious!

IBQUILTIN 01-24-2011 03:42 PM

Count me in

kanakama 01-24-2011 03:49 PM

Count me in!

Yooper32 01-24-2011 04:34 PM

I would, but my hoarding has not quite gotten to the point where you can't really get the door all the way open enough to get in and the pathways through the place are still pretty wide open. Contact me in a year and we'll see.

penski 01-24-2011 04:50 PM

lol count me in !!!

craftymatt2 01-24-2011 05:17 PM

That would be soooo much fun, but I think Dr. Phil would have us committed

j-mae 01-24-2011 06:55 PM

I'm in! Someone needs to know just what we sacrifice for our talent!

sew wishful 01-24-2011 07:11 PM

And don't forget the time spent on this board...so much that the quilting suffers as much as family suppertime, because we just have to catch up on what everyone else is doing!!
