Wooooo-hooooooo!!! Go me!!!!!

Howdy y'all :c)

Not to toot my own horn, but I'm just so excited!!! In the past year, I have lost FIFTY TWO pounds!!! Friday night I was at Sam's Club and saw a really cute outfit. Since my clothes are falling off of me, I decided to go ahead and get it. They don't have a fitting room at Sam's, so I had to just guess at the size. I bought a size 14 (yes, I realize I still have a way to go), and now that I'm wearing them I realize they're too big!!! I guess I should have gotten a 12, or maybe even a 10! That's down from a size 22!!!!!

What started the weight loss was having a garden last year. I'd go out and work in it, then get too hot to eat but knew I NEEDED to eat, so I'd eat a salad or a small portion of something. After a while of that, my stomach shrank so that it wouldn't hold as much. I left my husband 2 1/2 years ago, and since his idea of a "good time" was sitting at home and watching the weather channel, I'm more active now that I had been. I'm not on any special diet or anything.....just eating less and more active. And as a result of the weight loss, my sugar level has dropped to the point that I've been able to go completely off of one of my diabetes meds, and another one has been cut in half! Now to get the rest of my garden planted so I'll have something to keep the weight loss going this year! :c)

What a wonderful outcome that was not planned. Sounds like you have been making a bunch of good choices that are are benefiting you in ways you had not anticipated, but are sure benefiting from. Congratulations and keep enjoying!

How wonderful for you! That's quite an achievement. Once you get all the carbohydrate cravings out of your body, your appetite diminishes at least in half. Keep up the good work.

Hooray....way to go! You toot your horn as loud and long as you want to. I'm so happy for you.
