at the quilt store to check on a class you see the most fabulous piece of fabric you ever saw in your quilting life. would you use the $10 for the fabric and try to find something in the fridge to make for dinner or would you carefully put it back and walk slowly and tearfully away taking the $10 to buy the food you planned for dinner?
I would definitely get the fabric!! :D:D
I'm sure there is something in the freezer!!! LOL
What color is the fabric? ha ha ha
FABRIC! :)

What a quandry! In my case, I would have taken my diabetic medicine before I left the house and I then must begin eating within 1 hour. I don't have a quilt shop anywhere around here so it would mean a trip to Joann's, which is about 15-20 minutes away, so that means I couldn't eat within an hour but the meds would still be working and my sugar level would plunge and would be way low and I could be in a world of trouble. MAYBE, I would have time to quickly check on the class, but I would have to continue on to supper.
HOWEVER, when I got home I would raid the "bills to be paid" folder, rob Peter to pay Paul until next payday, and go buy that fabric tomorrow! (Just don't do this too often, or you'll be in a world of trouble of a different kind!) |
I can well afford to miss a meal or two, the size of my rear end tells me that. But the chance to get a piece of fabric that I'll probably never see again is priceless!!
You do not have to ask me, been there, etc. That is the advantage of having a well stocked pantry.
Fabric. My freezer and pantry are full. :-)
I wonder if they have lay-a-way? :!:
Fabric! I can live off the fat of the land for a little while.
The fabric for sure.
Eating is secondary when it comes to fabric :) :) :) |
that is why credit cards were invented!
fabric and make hubby buy supper, ha ha
Food, if my DH was waiting at home for it, if not I can live without food for a while I'd get the fabric.
LOL it would depend upon the food in the house & who I had to feed. Just me, milk, crackers & cheese works.
FABRIC. |
Fabric. There is always Top Roman. :XD:
Fabric!! I keep my pantry and freezer and 2 refrigerators well stocked!!!

That's easy....get the fabric
I would get the fabric. Why else do I have cans of tuna fish at home if not for these emergencies?
Honey, cereal for supper tonight.....
Buy the fabric and have husband buy dinner!!
LOL |
sorry, i'd get the supper
If I'm only feeding myself, I would grab the fabric for sure.
Fabric...the cupboards are full and so is the freezer.
You can always eat, the fabric might not be there the next time.
Maybe the original question meant -
The cupboards are bare, the refrigerator and freezer are empty, and there are hungry kids at home to be fed? In which case, I probably would not have even been near the quilt shop and would have bought low-budget food to feed the family. |
Fabric! Definitely the fabric!
Oh, surely there is a can of ravoli in the pantry somewhere!
absolutely fabric
Probably buy the fabric and then figure out what to eat from what's in the frig.

You can always find something for dinner, but that fabric may not be there tomorrow!

I'd get the fabric. I always try to keep a can of salmon in the cabinet for salmon patties - quick and easy which gets me to the sewing room sooner to play with the new fabric.
I wouldn't even think about it. I'd buy the fabric. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will fill anyone up. I could probably find enough loose change in my car to buy a loaf of bread.
