I'm still snowed in here in Oklahoma City. They say the main streets are getting pretty good, lots of cars still abandoned, and slick spots but otherwise OK, but since I really don't "have" to get out I won't until Saturday. I am making a list of things I need to get because they are saying 1" to 3" again on Mon or Tue. What would you make sure to stock up on? Me - New books at Library, ink for my printer, more fusible web...I know I will be adding to this list. Everyone stay warm! Oh, I already thought of something else very important -- quilting and topstitch needles for both my machines, running low on both.

I saw on the news one car stuck in the snow somewhere, just looked parked, but right next to that car was one on it's nose!! sticking straight up in the snow . it's rear bumper toward the sky. didn't look like it's wrecked or anything. i can't help but wonder how that happened....
my street is icy but i hope to get out today. We didn't get the storm all that much here.

It is cold, cold, cold here in the desert of Arizona...26 degrees. Our electricity went out yesterday morning because of the overload on the stations - everyone cranked up their heat ...But it was back on in about 90 minutes. Stay warm, stay safe and stay busy. Yeah, library books, ink for the printer and machine needles are on my list too even though I am not snowed in, I am staying out of the cold!

We have at least 3 feet of snow on the ground accumilated from all our storms. More is due this weekend and next Tuesday. The roads are getting narrower. We are running out of places to put the snow. I was able to get out of the driveway today. If I can't I either walk the mile to work or ask for a ride. I am trying to keep my sense of humor. I am tired of it. Quilting and my newly arrived foster dogs help me escape.

First, sorry for the dbl post. Don't know how that happened. And MrsM after reading your post I feel positively ashamed of my complaining. At least it is supposed to be in the 40's Saturday and will probably melt most of the snow. Everyone stay warm and happy quilting!

We stock up in November, just in case. The "storm center" here in our garage has plenty of batteries for the flashlights and radio, bottled water, candles and matches, in case of power outage. We also buy extra toilet paper and canned goods.

For the sewing room, I stock up on needles and thread, and I have a battery operated Ott lite that is just priceless. A dear sweet friend gave it to me at Christmas, and it's wonderful for hand sewing in a blackout!

I'm still snowed in. I couldn't get out of my driveway if I had to. I'm starting to get concerned about toilet paper!
