I wish these new's show's would find a new subject. I don't need an update every day on what he did today. And who he did it with.
I feel sorry for the people he work's with. That they will lose there job's.

katiescraftshop 02-25-2011 01:41 PM

I'm with you! Love Two and a Half men but boy am I tired of hearing about his latest hooker, and flub up.

nycquilter 02-25-2011 01:44 PM

I am so saddened at the state of what the US considers as news. Charlie Sheen???sorry, not interested. I like the show but even that cancellation or whatever is not news. Teen moms on tv? not news. Lindsey Lohan? Not news. if the stations need fillers, give me some good news like how someone helped someone else altruistically.

DITTO!!!

toomanycats 02-25-2011 01:51 PM

I'm with you nycquilter. Surley there are some good human interest stories out there.

Izaquilter 02-25-2011 01:54 PM

He needs to be commited & not let out! He never seems to learn his lesson & just keeps getting publicity for it!

vesta_f 02-25-2011 01:55 PM

Charlie is just a bad bad boy. whom has never grown up. that's what drug use does to a person. and I feel for the rest of the crew of 2 and 1/2 men. its funny how one persons addiction hurts so many others.. I'm in a family with a charlie type person and his actions have hurt this family to the core.

CloverPatch 02-25-2011 01:56 PM

Wow, we don't watch much TV. I was completely lost, LOL, had to read a few comments to figure it out. I am glad it is off, Don't like the show. It is played during the day on a family station, but Im sorry. the topics on that show are not family friendly, hiring a hooker for a birthday?! Least that was the episode I saw.

They gave him plenty of warnings about the show, It is my understanding this has been going on for quite so time?

RatherB Quilting 02-25-2011 01:58 PM

HATE his show, glad it's off the air, wish they would pull re-runs too. I agree, don't care a lick what he does...have a hard enough time keeping track of my own life!!
:)

texas granny 02-25-2011 02:17 PM

I have never like this show. My hubby watches it my mom and a girlfriend. I have never under stood what they saw in the show. Some of the better shows the networks will take off the air and leave things on that arn't worth our time.

JulieR 02-25-2011 02:24 PM

I've heard about this on the radio during my drive into work, but fortunately none of the news programs I watch talk about it.

I've never seen the show and I don't have much of an opinion about Charlie Sheen or any of them, except a) who knows what the truth is, b) his costars should have seen the writing on the wall some time ago, and c) the producers should have had a back up plan so they didn't have to deep-six themselves just to get back at him.

Too much drama. I'm going back to politics (HAHA!)

Tink's Mom 02-25-2011 02:28 PM

The best thing the media could do for him would be to ignore him...this way he doesn't have an audience for his acting out.
I do enjoy the show...it can be witty! But, I'm sure that Charlie is in a terrible tailspin and doesn't even know it...
He needs to be committed by his family....because this is going to kill him if he is left to his own decisions.

May in Jersey 02-25-2011 02:41 PM

Can't believe the show has been on for so many years, it was a one joke show that got boring very quickly. What a shame that he has wasted so much of his life. May in Jersey

Hosta 02-25-2011 02:42 PM

I too am tired of hearing about it the news nowadays is all stuff that I don't consider news and there is too much chit chat between anchors for me too I want the news not that persons personal opinion of the story they just read

fuail 02-25-2011 02:48 PM

Living in SoCal, it's even worse! Local "news" can't get enough of stars' antics. Thankfully, I live far away from LA proper, and only watch the LA "local" news for weather! Personally, I never liked the show and couldn't figure out why it's been on so long, but I feel sorry for the rest of the people involved - but unfortunately, that's show biz these days.

Lv2sew2011 02-25-2011 02:49 PM

Yep, so done with it, I turn the channel if they even say that name...

emerald46 02-25-2011 02:49 PM

I totally agree with everyone. The show was cute the first year and went downhill quickly...like much of regular TV just not appropriate for viewing. Thank goodness my kids are grown and I don't have to police TV like I hear some of my younger friends discuss. We watch sports, Cooking Channel, HGTV, sports, history, sports and that is about it....lol. It is mostly for background noise.

tutt 02-25-2011 02:54 PM

I'm of the opinion that the public doesn't care, it's the media people that care. I wish they would understand that "we" don't. If people want to self-destruct that's there business as long as it's not putting a minor or the public in danger or they being supported by the government.

dakotamaid 02-25-2011 03:01 PM

I have mute button and I use it.

Tropical 02-25-2011 03:12 PM

I have been so SICK of him and his show for years. The only thing of interest to the writer's is sex. Where is a little intelligence once in a while. My DH watches the show. I usually leave the room.

If "we" didn't care these shows would lose ratings until they stopped talking about it. This is a nation that has adopted a woman named "Snooki" as a character of note. It can't be surprising that talking about someone with an actual career behind him is raking in the ratings - it isn't just the gossip-mongers, but it's also people who have respected his work in the past who are interested.

Hollywood is a money business - period. Charlie Sheen is more popular right now than he's ever been, for good or for ill. Popularity = Ratings = ad buys = $$$.

When they stop making money on it, they'll stop talking about it, whatever "it" happens to be. Just right now, it's Charlie Sheen.

jljack 02-25-2011 04:21 PM

I am really really tired of all the gossip mongers in the media of this country that make what the drugged out, alcohol swigging "celebrities" are doing more important than what the good people in this country do.

Why is it news? Why should we care? Why do they expect that I am waiting with bated breath to hear what their next outrageous stunt is? Why should I care who they are with or do with them?

I hate that our culture has become so "celebrity centered" for all the wrong reasons!!! These people are truly losers who are such bad bad influences on our youth. Yet look how the media idolizes and raises them up like they were gods!!!

MAKES ME SICK!!! (See, you had to get me going!!  )

Rntraveler 02-25-2011 04:45 PM

I couldn't agree with you more... good riddence...

JanetM 02-25-2011 08:08 PM

He really is ill, but doesn't see it. I hope his family can get through to him. If not, I fear for him.

he will be lucky if he lives through all this. you can see an overdose in his future..it's a shame.

Sue Fors 02-26-2011 04:43 AM

I have to agree with Faye. It is so sad what addiction does to the family involved. That part is too painful to be funny. And the news reporters should be ashamed of themselves for wasting our time with all that coverage. They are only encouraging him to keep going.
I think we will all hear some very sad news regarding him very soon.

I feel the same. Don't watch the news. And am really tired of TV. Well I do watch Animal Cops and shows like NCIS etc

Connie Merritt 02-26-2011 05:53 AM

Aside from the TV show being OVER DONE with the one liners (and does that make an actor?). I have caring feelings for the parents. As seen before his father has tried and tried even by calling the police on him etc. His mother's heart must be torn apart. This very very ill Charlie Sheen is on the road with two forks; Road 1 is a disaster to himself and Road 2 is a disaster to harm someone else. I almost feel he is out to distroy himself AND he needs to rid himself of his so to speak entourage and all the "YES" people around him $$$$$$$$. I will send a prayer for his family and for him. Nope I am not a perfect person, made many mistakes and stub my toes LOTS, there is simply more people who are hurt by his fiascos and they need caring also. Thanks for reading my thoughts they are not meant to say anything more than my thoughts.
God Bless each of you.

happymrs 02-26-2011 06:07 AM

Yes, I agree! It may be a hit show, but all his fans need to find someone else to idolize! What a jerk, what an idiot! Got tired of hearing about Tiger, now it's Charlie! Enough! I do feel sorry for the rest of the cast, they deserve better than this!...

Dodee 02-26-2011 06:46 AM

When are we going to get back to the good clean shows? I'm tired of all this crime (people are cut up), sex, and just plain no talent shows. The news is even repeats from one day to the next. Some of the emcees seem to think they are comedians.
Back to sewing.

Homespun 02-26-2011 06:47 AM

Yes, and his show was a disgrace to the 'family'. The media needs to leave the 'bad' boys alone and quit giving them publicity--that includes Lindsey!

craftymatt2 02-26-2011 06:50 AM

I can't stand him, and his parents keep justifying him, poor charlie the world is out to get him, they should've fired him years ago, he isn't worth the money he gets, even a penny would be too much.

mommafank 02-26-2011 06:53 AM

Never watched his show but fed up with the free publicity he and that Lohan girl get for being poor examples of how to live a life. Both are nothing but spoiled brats!

j 02-26-2011 07:02 AM

There's always someone to take his place and maybe he will be funnier. Love the show but feel sorry when your so addicted and he hasn't even hit bottom yet. - J.

mary j 02-26-2011 07:13 AM

Looks to me like he played himself all this time, is that acting? I always liked Alan better anyway. They should continue without him.

nativetexan 02-26-2011 07:25 AM

yep, i['ve never watched his show. it's on two stations here too!! hard to get away from. He's a good actor, i've watched him in movies but his sitcom is stupid, so i don't care for it.
his family needs to change tactics. what has been done so far isn't working. i respect his Father a lot. i do hope things work out.

amorerm 02-26-2011 08:15 AM

Yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care. I wish they put this much effort into news worthy and helpful stories.

newbee 02-26-2011 08:24 AM

I am tired of the talk about Charlie as well. But it reminds me that no matter how much money you have, how many opportunities you have, and how good you look, none of that guarantees a happy life. Happiness comes from within. The most positive person I know is one of my sister-in-laws, who lost her house, is separating from an abusive husband, and has a job that I would hate. She wakes up every day with a smile in her heart ready to take on what life has thrown at her. Now SHE s a person that is newsworthy.

Mimito2 02-26-2011 09:07 AM

More bad boy stunts, More publicity. Show drama means more viewers when it comes back. NOT me. I to would rather watch a show about good deeds done.
