Default Proof of Concept Teddy Bear

Hi All,
My aunt loved the teddy bear I made for her. Now my cousin wants me to make one for her from a quilt that her great grandmother made. Attached is my "proof of concept" for them. I told my aunt I would make one from some test blocks I was using to practice FMQ. The quilt blocks were much easier to work with than the real fur and it went together in a weekend. I need to make the tie a little better. It was made from a jelly roll strip and is currently just folded. I wanted to see what it looked like before sewing it. I like it so I will sew it so the pinked edge doesn't show. I think it needs a top hat though.

Shari

Thanks. I think the hat will complete the package. I'm not going to send pics to my aunt and cousin until I have it complete and the tie looking better.

I just made a quick hat out of paper, it definitely completes the ensemble and gives the bear a finished look. Now I just need to make a real one.

Thanks. I made a hat for him this afternoon. It came out ok but is a bit small for his head. I still need to work on getting the tie sewn.
