Default question about batting for a cushion cover?

hi!

i am making a window bench cushion for my cousin, and i was wondering if there is any reason not to piece the high loft polyester batting used to wrap the foam core of the cushion.

because of the loft, i was thinking i could cut it and then use the spray adhesive to secure it to the foam.

rather than running the length of the bench cushion, the bat would wrap around the width of the cushion in three pieces.

i don't want to compress it by sewing it, but i don't want the seams in the bat to show through the cover in a month or two either.

does anyone have experience with this?

thanks!

aileen
