Hi everyone on the BBS. This is Cathy's husband Arron.
First off Cathy and Adrian are fine!!!!!
However tonight about 430PM Central our house caught fire and about 1/3 of the house, IS GONE!!! Unfortuntely we lost at least two of our cats, and these two were our best buddies, Sasha and her liter-mate Misha. The smoke was just too thick for them to survive. The third one ran out of the house and is wandering around tonight and we are not sure if he, Rudy, will make it through the night. Again Cathy and Adrian are OK!!!! That is what I was most concerned about!!!! We will miss our cats dearly, but we know they wait at the Rainbow Bridge until one of us comes to cross the bridge together.
Cathy wanted me to convey to everyone that she will be unable to participate in any of the swaps and such that she has signed on to be a part of. She regrets this more than you know! Her "fabric stash" is all but ruined and mostly unusable. Also her Bernina was damaged as well. At this time I am unaware of how badly damage it is damaged. But I will point out that a computer monitor across the room from it melted.
We could really use some thoughts and good wishes at this point in time. As of right now we do not know how things will shake out. The mortgage company holds the insurance for the house but not the contents. But as I keep telling her it just stuff(I use the other four letter S word, mostly!) but that is what it is. We can replace our "stuff" but I cannot replace a little boy and my wife.
We are staying with my parents for the time being and will begin the process of moving forward when the daylight comes. Now comes the hard part telling our son his "cats" and hampster are gone. He is allready not doing well but will in time I am sure bounce back. It is just going to take some time.

I am so so sorry about your home. What a devastating occurance and to lose your two cat's on top of it. Oh my that is just horrible.
I am glad everyone is all right though. Your right - stuff can be replaced.
I am curious if Lacey Jane made it out all right? I pray she did.
Tell Adrienne hello and that she is in our thoughts and prayers. We will be waiting to hear from her. Thank you for letting us know.

I'm so sorry for all of you. Please give Cathy and Adrian my best. You're right about the stuff, of course your lives are way more important, so sorry about the cats though and Adrian's hampster. But it's still devastating to lose your home. I really feel for you all. Hugs x
