Wow! I went to Joann to use my extra 25% coupon and they were having a 50% off sale on all quilting notions. That includes the photo transfer sheets and rulers, too! I got two books (40% off), a clover leather thimble (don't know if I like it or not), a "Nimble" brand black leather thimble which I love and the giant 20.5" x 20.5" Omnigrid non-skid ruler! I almost forgot that I also got the Easy Angle 6.5" because I am eyeing the "Delbert & Leona" pattern in the lates Keepsake Quilting catalog. I already have the Companion Angle I will need. Anyway, all this would have cost me $123.86 before tax. Well...maybe not since I wouldn't have bought this much! But with the sale alone, I saved $56.96. With the 25% off coupon, I saved another 16.73 for a total savings of $73.69. I am very happy! I am going to go back and get the Omnigrid 12"x12" ruler. I don't have one of those and they are so handy for squareing up.

You might want to do the 12.5 x 12.5 ruler instead.

That's one heck of a bargain you got. I've thought about that 20.5 x 20.5 ruler.

I love the Nimble thimble too, it's the only one I can stand working with.

That's probably what I meant. I really love that extra half. I don't like trying to measure from the exact edge of the ruler. I like to use the dots so I am consistant. I love the nimble since it gives me some grippy as well as keeps me from pushing the eye of the needle through my thumb will hand piecing. Ouch!
