Yay - it's raining a nice gentle rain. I could have gone shopping this AM or got some bloodwork done or checked a new fabric store, but DH - and I emphasize the dear! - decided he was taking off today. He said do whatever I want but be home by 9am. So he's home, but he doesn't know what he wants to do now since it is raining. I'm thinking he should go back to the office :) Geez, I love this man!!

I'm going to go play in my fabric. . . .

Lucky you! I'm about 2 hrs. from you North of Philadelphia & we did not receive enough rain to wet under the trees yesterday & nothing today. Everything is so dry, the lawns look ugly. Funny how weeds don't need water to grow.

Yeah, the rain seems to have traveled in the southeasterly direction. But our pool is now full and the weeds do need mowed. We've had almost 2 1/2 inches of rain since Thursday morning.

It's hot and steamy over here. Got rain the other night but most of it's missing us by going north and south of us. DH hasn't had to cut the grass in 2 wks.

After reading about the horrible heat in the east, I feel bad about posting this. We are having lower then normal temperatures where I live. We are right on the edge of the San Fransisco Bay. This summer we've had 2 days of 80's and everything else has been 70's and 60's. Mornings are overcast and foggy. Perfect for getting chores done. Sun is out by afternoons. To be fair our best weather comes in Sept and Oct.

Our rain was supposed to come through today and drop the temp. No rain and it's still hot and steamy. Maybe tomorrow.
