Well I AM expecting packages to be arriving for the next week
or so from all the "major" shippers USPS, FedEx and UPS.
But I highly doubt there will be one from you though. LOL
The packages I am waiting on are a variety of "sewing" notions
and/or gadgets.

I have something funny to tell you.
My sister-in-law works for a company who only sales to
wholesalers of imprintable blanks (shirts, bibs, etc.) and
she is able to purchase from them also being an employee.
Well I gave her a list of the bibs (different colors of binding)
and also gave her some money. Since we didn't know exactly
how much it would cost I told her to let me know and I will
get her the rest.
So last week she sends me a text message tell me how much
more it was going to be, so I told her I would drop $20 in the
mail to her. Last Thursday the card with $20 was mailed, and
can you believe it took until YESTERDAY (Thursday) one week
to travel 20 miles?
I told her that my cat Kiko could have gotten it there faster,
her reply or pony express.
Stupid USPS, they raise their rates and the service gets worse
go figure.

I purchased some machine embroidery thread from Amazon
and I am anxious to see how well it does on my machine.
Although since I ONLY use topstitch (or large eye needles) now
for my metallic, and other "difficult" to use threads I imagine it
should be fine.
But HOLY COW the spools of gold and silver that I bought are
HUGE 10,000 yards (5,000 each spool). Guess my "thread"
stand will come in handle now after years of collecting dust.
Look at the size difference in picture.

I also bought oodles of bobbins (5 packs of 10) of the SA156
Brother bobbins for $2.99 pack. At my local dealer they charge
$12.99 for these same bobbins. I also bought other bobbins that
will work just as well, (but without the "bluish tint" like the Brother
has, the cost on these were $6.54 per 50 pack and I bought 2 packs.
So that is a total of 150 empty bobbins for me to fill up can you say
"happy" (except for all the work) but winding bobbins will not be such
a "chore" now with the new machine since I can wind bobbins at the
SAME TIME as I am sewing or embroidering. PLUS if push comes to
shove I guess I could pull out my bobbin winder (not a big fan of it).

Hi, I'm new to QB and while I understand the concept of RAKs, how do you send them? There are no addresses on the board, are there? Are these actual or virtual RAKs? Sorry for all the questions, but I do RAKs for friends and would be interested in getting involved here, as well. Thanks for any info you can provide. Wendy in VA

Obviously Krystyna has been very busy! I, too, received a package from her. It contained all sorts of scraps...it was fun going through and noting all the ones that match mine! Several fabrics were ones that I have, too. I felt a bit guilty, because Krystyna had many of the strips rolled up jelly-roll style, and I just kept on unrolling! Couldn't help it - had to see what was underneath! Thanks so much, Krystyna!
AND, from mscupid804, Teresa, I received a package full of cross stich goodies. There were two books (and I saw many patterns that I would like to play with), floss, needles, aida, pattern sheet, and a piece of very pretty fall fabric. Now to get working! Thank you very much, Teresa!

Kris, you're welcome, glad you liked! How did I know.....well, there's a thing on here called a profile that I also look at when I get something for someone for a RAK, that includes SP's too. Profiles can tell a lot if you make them that way.

Ooops, forgot about that, and I use the profiles all the time! Maybe I should look at mine! LOL!

Krystyna..Sure hope you feel better soon..Sending hugs (((hugs)))..Diana
You are both welcome and I hope you enjoy the inspiration in the books/magazines. Nancy, I just loved the dog on the cover of rectrangles.
Well, I am sick. It's been coming on for a few days and now I am finally in that zone where you can't think and don't want to move. Hope it lifts soon, but if not ... see you in February.
