I used to sew the buttons on by machine but I could hand sew them on faster than setting up the machine to do it! And by machine if a thread is loose and someone pulls on it the button will fall of.

More questions about what you do.
1) Do you cross stitch?
2a) Do you like to do a LOT of applique (that involves cutting small pieces
and/or in tight corners)? What kind of scissors do you use?
2b) If you applique do you do fusible or raw edge turn (or both)?
2c) What kind of scissors do you use?
3) Do you like "blocks" that are not finished? (size 12-1/2" I think)?
4) Do you like BOM patterns that are "missing" a one or two of the
months (like the Joanns BOM's)?
5) Have you seen those magnifying glasses that clamps to the machine?
(click on this LINKif you need a better description). I bought one of
these when I saw it on clearance, but it didn't fit my machine and I
could not return it.
In a previous post I mentioned hand quilting; the thread I had has been
spoken for already.
I am ALMOST finished with "cleaning" my sewing room, and have added
MANY things to my bins for RAK goodies. In fact I now have 2 bins that
are 24qt size FULL.
Well that is about it for the moment, if I have anymore question I will
come back to ask. Maybe I will get pictures of my "clean" sewing room
and post them for you.

- no to appliquing
- well not sure about the bom's or finished blocks; they can be used in multiple ways
