my FIL visits my MIL at the cemetary fairly frequently. He talks to her and for the first time in about 60 years, she doesn't bite his head off... she divorced him, too, after 57 years of marriage. Go figure!

This does demonstrate complete devotion and love but now that the year is up, I wish he would take his music and visit the closest nursing home. There are residents at the home that would be delighted to hear his music and chat with him awhile. In my opinion, music, flowers and visiting should be spent on the living where it will make a real difference and an old heart sing.
