This weekend my great nephew was showing us his toys, and we were politely amazed with his toys. Then, he asked his mom so seriously, "Mom, did you just have rocks to throw when you were a kid?"

Kids are great and so openly honest. I used to be a volunteer at my daughter's school. I went in one day and several of the second graders (having just learned all about Abe Lincoln) said, "Mrs. Hopper were you alive when Lincoln was president?"

I never tire of hearing what kids say. It is the most precious conversation there is.

My 4-year old GS asked me the other day, "Nana, were you born before there was water?" He makes me laugh every day!

After looking at black-and-white family photos, my 3 year-old niece asked her mom, "Didn't they have colors when you were a kid?"

I am 31 and my oldest son has asked me if we had TV's when I was growing up! I had to laugh at him-kids always think their parents are old.
