I have cut off my acrylic nails with them before but not my flesh. Hope you get well soon and that the pain isn't too bad.

Ouch!! I have really been thinking about getting a "klutz glove" like they show on Fons & Porter.. . . .
I have been watching when I cut, and I get really close to my fingers. . .
I hope that you heal quickly!

OHHHH Nooooo.....!!! Hope you heal quickly and get back to sewing.........For me, I am an OCD freak about locking the blade everytime I cut...However, one time I borrowed a cutter when I left mine at home. It was nothing like mine, safety locked the opposite way of what I was used to......OOPS..went to reach for something, hit the blade and sliced my finger open...Lesson learned...I'll buy a new one like mine, before I borrow one again....:)

Rutthy, so sorry to hear about your accident. That will hurt for a while. My hubby cut the tip of his finger off years ago.
When you get healed up you should get one of those Klutz gloves that Fons and porter sells (like someone mentioned) They will protect your fingers. Let me know if you have trouble finding them and I will help you.
Now go and heal...sending you healing prayers and thoughts!
