I am so mad!!! I set the wedding to record on BOTH DVRs, and it didn't record on either...pooh. I used to fly to London three to four times a month, watched Diana's wedding and funeral beginning to end and was so happy for William and Kate. I am totally bummed I am now only getting snipets from talk shows and the news. Still quite happy for them. They seem about as down to earth as two young people in their positions could be! I hope they have many happy years together.

In additional response Cazann, I have a friend (who also flies to London frequently - we are both flight attendants) who ordered scones and crown shaped cookies, set out her wedding china, and her and her 10 year old daughter got up at 4.30 this morning, donned their hats and gloves and watched the wedding eating the scones with jam and cream, the cookies and had mimosas and tea!!

Yes, some of us in the states are as enthralled as you guys are!!

Why is money always said to be wasted on royal weddings? It's not like they happen every six months. The shear fact that there is a special day with beauty and pagentry and romance especially in this crazy world of ours is worth the 32 million. We in this country spend three times as much on Presidential Inaugurations.

I watched it and thought it was beautiful. I recorded it for my 4 year old granddaughter who loves princesses. We took her to a wedding reception last summer and after she saw the bride who was walking about by herself for a minute, she asked, "Where's the handsome prince"? She will love to see a real fairy tale prince and princess wedding.

Sat up and watched the entire thing... The BBC was broadcasting on channel 13... no commercials... totally cool

Princess Catherine's dress is very similar to the one in Sound of Music... yes. I was really surprised at that... it's really elegant yet simple ... nothing like previous royal bridal gowns...

I thought it was like the Sound of Music dress, but also like my mothers, she got married in 1955! Beautiful though, wouldn't you like to see it 1st hand. They said that the seamstresses working on the hem had to wash their hands every 30 minutes to keep it all clean!
