Kentucky Dam Village has an RV Park, along with a lodge. We have never stayed in the park but have been to the lodge many times. I like to stay there when I go to the AQS show.

those both look nice, thank you. I'm waiting for my Good Sam member number to arrive before I go mad making reservations.
After 48 years we've kind of met on common ground, as a long haul trucker Rob's mind goes from start to arrival in a straight line, and my mind zigs like a rabbit

We really like the Illinois state park in Metropolis. No WiFi or much TV, but a very nice park. Better get your reservations in at private parks now.

We have a lot in common Kalama, my DH is also a trucker, we have been married 45 years this year. And he does tend to go from point A to B without any thought about what we might see along the way... LOL
When he retires in a couple of years I am going to need a life coach because I am so used to doing my thing while he is away
Land Between the Lakes is nearby as well but our RV (40' fifth wheel) doesn't fit well in most of the sites there...

We stayed in the Land Between the Lakes about 5 years ago...Paducah was just a short drive...the park was beautiful...don't know how it is now though....We have been RVing for 7 winters now...Hard to get away from the "point A to point B" though...LOL

After we'd been married about 5 years, with some rather unpleasant drives from A to B, we got our first dog.
We still didn't stop at interesting tourist points, but "do you think Goldie needs a run?" would fairly instantly get a stop and some fresh air

Now, as long as he knows ahead of time, he will stop anywhere he or I think might be interesting. The lap top has been a great help, knowing ahead of time.

I remember driving by Disneyland, Wax Museum, Knotts Berry Farm

OMG, never thought about that point A to B, but my BFF was in sales most of his life and had to get to appointments on time or no meeting. That's what he has, point A to B syndrome!!!
