not even sure that I am posting in the right place but maybe most of you know but I had an email last night telling me that jill [aka[ alabama quilter passed away Sunday night guess she was diagnosed with cancer only a short time ago sorry to be a carrier of sad news
So sorry to hear this news. At least putting the information on this form will garner a lot of prayers for her family in this difficult time.

Another quilter went on to sewing in the sky. My thoughts go out to her family and friends.
Some board members made a quilt for her daughter who was going through medical treatments. So sad she passed when her DD is so ill.
I believe giving what I can will never cause me to be in need.
Being cheap is not a badge of honor.
My heroes are working people, paying their own way, taking care of their children and being decent human beings.

Oh dear, how sad. It is another really sad reminder that no one knows how long we will be around and we need to treasure every day.

This is always so sad. It sounds like her family has really been under attack lately. I feel for her family.

Thank you first for sharing with us here at the board. I sit every morning and read the posts and enjoy all the pictures. Life is a gift that we share every day, she was a joy to have on the board and will be missed prayers for her family and loved ones.

We quilters are such compassionate people, always helping where we can. I recall that when I lived in Washington, DC, one of the guild members had completed a quilt top but also knew she would not live to see it finished. Friends took the quilt and hand quilted it for her. One member reported that she and her hubby laid under her final quilt. It was then rested on the top of the casket. I imagine that this quilt is a treasure for her family.
I am sure Jill will treasure the quilt given to her. How sad for the entire family.
Sorry to hear this especially since I was born and raised in ala.
I would like to thank all of you that made the quilt for her daughter and the quilter. God is so good to give those that support us in our times of pain.
