We go back Aug. 22....gee, and thanks for this thread! I'm totally depressed now. My husband and I both teach middle school, in the same building and have the same kids. It's a fun filled 9 months. :cry:

In Chandler AZ we are year round so school starts next Monday, 7/25. Meet the Teachers was yesterday for elementary school. Junior High & High School has orientation yesterday & today.

I go back to work at school (KC, KS) August 8th...kids start Aug. 12....we should finish (provided the snow goddess doesn't like us this year).... May23 for kids...24th for staff. We had 5 snow days to make up this year...ugh!

is next week.
Not sure of real 1st day but
probably the 2nd week of August.

I am a teacher, and we start back August 8th. Seems too early to me, but we get out in May. I live in Southern California.

Jefferson County in Alabama starts Augusst 15th this and I think the earliest it started in the nearly 30 years I worked for them was August 6th, 2003. Some of the systems have gone to year round school haven't figured that one out , yet.
